Miguel Krassnoff Marchenko

1973

Krassnoff took part in the assault on the residence of former president Salvador Allende who was deposed by the Army in Sept. 1973.

Krassnoff is a former member of Chile's DINA secret police. He was known by political prisoners held and tortured at Villa Grimaldi, Tres Alamos and Cuatro Alamos. Known for his violent treatment of prisoners.

1974

Krassnoff was a student at the U. S. Army School of the Americas, in the course "Contrainsurgencia Urbana", and is listed by School of the Americas Watch as a "Notorious Graduate.".

1976

Krassnoff was Implicated in the death by torture of former Spanish diplomat Carmelo Soria

1994

Krassnoff failed to show up at a hearing regarding the disappearances of four opposition soldiers who were kidnapped and disappeared in 1974.

1998

Krassnoff among a number of Chilean citizens charged by Spanish Judge Baltazar Garzon with crimes of genocide, torture and disappearances.
