I still can’t sleep the way I want and need to but that’s probably because of
the schedule and the fact that I am still adjusting to being “on tour”. I
did manage a short siesta on the way to Budapest but I feel more tired today and
I am definitely cranky!
So we arrived at the venue and they had done
a great job of setting up the catering area so we decided to stay, eat and wait
for sound check. Sandra and her crew took really good care of us and we
had made some changes to the set so we had a little rehearsing to do during
sound check. Finally we had the definitive set list so we headed back to
the hotel to rest and prepare. Just another day on the road….
The pre-show atmosphere was great and spirits
were high. The crowd was ready and so were we, so, as a result, this was
the best show so far and maybe our best show ever, bearing in mind that we are
still new to this!
After the show I did a “meet and greet” with
Ken jr. and the big crowd kept us really busy until we were able to relax in the
catering area, eat some more of Sandra’s excellent food and just enjoy the
after-show glow.
The guys are great. We have a pre-show
rule about alcohol but I don’t really care too much about what they do after the
show and some of the antics are really comical… but it never, ever gets out of
hand… and I appreciate that.
Tomorrow is a day off/travel day so we can
afford to relax a bit.
For me it was time to go back to the hotel
and to finally have a good night’s sleep!!
This was
definitely one to remember.
