Finland, Russia, Russia and Switzerland… "96
tea bags and 2 pedal bins"!
Day 10
The
organisational chaos continued at the airport as we were ushered into the VIP
area and everything was taken care of. We were all tired, some of the
promoter´s guys were still drunk so we couldn´t wait to get on the plane and
breathe a sigh of relief.
In
Blagoveshensk we had recovered one of the hours we had lost and now we had 7 ˝
hours to fly to Moscow. Mainly I slept on the flight which was easy
because the coffee machine was broken... And they had NO COFFEE!!! All I
wanted was to arrive safely in Moscow and get to my hotel room!
So I sat and
slept and stared out of the window at the countless thousands of miles of frozen
wasteland. Made me wonder what percentage of Russia is populated….
But we made it
safely which is the most important thing after all. All that was left for
me to do was endure the 3 ˝ hour drive to my hotel which is at Sheremetyevo
airport on the other side of Moscow. They will never, ever solve the
horrendous traffic problem in Moscow, even on a non-work day. But I am
here and at last I can relax!
More soon.
