Day 3
Simon, our
driver, arrived exactly on time. We however did not so we were quite late
leaving for Prague but we made it in time for set-up and sound check and even
had time to enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant next to the venue.
We had played at the Retro in 2007 and we all remembered it as a fantastic night
so we were really looking forward to this one.
When we got back to the venue it was already packed and the opening act was
playing Heep covers (not the ones we were playing of course!).
Lea came to get me and took me to the stage where they surprised me with a
birthday cake…. another chocolate one…. And the whole audience sang Happy
Birthday for me! I am beginning to like this birthday thing, even if I don´t
actually like chocolate cake!
This show was great and the whole band rocked really hard.
The audience was involved from the very beginning and it went by so fast. And I
think most of them stuck around for the meet & greet so we were quite late
getting out of the club.
The tough part starts now really because we have a lot of land to cover over the
next few days.
