"It's not just Tulips and Cheese…..  To Norway, Holland and Bulgaria"

Day 3

An early start but I feel good. I have made some changes to my personal life style that are really making a difference to my overall well-being and, as a direct result, lack of sleep doesn´t have anywhere near as negative an effect on me as it used to.

Taking the train from Oslo centre to the aiport is so easy, quick and comfortable and it´s a lot cheaper than a taxi!

As always, the biggest delay at the airport is security but they are pretty efficient in Oslo so all of this was pretty painless though I did run into some problems trying to transfer to the train in Amsterdam.

Surprisingly, hardly anything is written in English so, if you have a question, you need to find a ¨train person¨ and these are usually very helpful.

My first train was cancelled or delayed (I never did find out which or why) but they were frequent enough and anyway today is only a travel day so there was no stress.

Eventually I arrived in Weert which is a small town in the south of Holland and eventually a taxi did come and eventually I got to the little country guest house that would double as our hotel for a couple of days.

I had to agree to these shows a little ¨blind¨ because I have no idea of how these venues or this promoter are and the hotels will be a crapshoot too but, even though the hotel was officially closed for a religious holiday, the nice people made me a sandwich and showed me to my room which was fine.

I have time to relax, catch up on some work and rest so I will spend the rest of today in my room and maybe take a walk tomorrow morning.

Good night.
