Wednesday - April 9th 2003 Today was "radio-day" and we visited three stations. Two local ones for call-in shows and then Europa Plus which has the largest reach in Russia. I also had a quick chat with MTV Russia which included a feeble attempt at greetings in Russian!! I am able to speak German, rusty French and (now) decent Spanish but this language has me totally baffled… especially when they have words which start with DL!! Anyway I am sure they'll forgive me and at least I tried! We did take some time to look around and this is a cool town. It is situated on the River Don and on a nice sunny day it has a real Western European flavour to it. Tomorrow night's show is already sold out so it looks like it should be another great night. As for this night, I am going to spend it in my room working on my borrowed synthesizer and resting. More tomorrow then… Next day...
