Rural Ukraine offers a very different view. No bathrooms (at least no useable ones) along the road, lots of sheep, cows and goats (not many dogs though) grazing or lazing on the sides of the lined pot-holes that they call roads but still no signs of the obvious poverty that we had seen elsewhere. For me it is so cool to experience this. I don’t think I will ever lose my love for adventure and travel… at least I hope not!

After a long long drive on terrible roads we arrived in Odessa to find that our hotel had no electricity… so went to the venue which was quite modern back-stage and had showers etc.

Odessa is a major sea-port on the north-east coast of The Black Sea. It’s a large city, popular with tourists and the first thing I noticed was the traffic congestion! It took us for ever to get from A to B.

Satisfied that the posters were okay and that the advertising and promotion had been fair we were looking forward to this, our last show in Ukraine before moving on to Russia tomorrow.

Despite the fact that we were all pretty tired by this point we had another great show and the whole audience was on its feet and dancing at the end so it was off to the restaurant for a well-earned celebration! After the inevitable TV interview of course!!

I haven’t been able to get to the internet for days now and I am not looking forward to the mountain of e-mail that I am sure is there waiting for me!
If you are reading this then of course I have by now found a way to connect!!

Next day...
