I don't know if you have had sleep deprivation but it's always the same for me. If I lose a night's sleep I can keep going but when I eventually do sleep I feel really groggy the next day! A long shower helped and gradually my brain came to life and so we worked hard today and got a lot done. Communication is working out well although of course I have no idea what the Russian word is for Bass drum! Come to think of it I am still learning studio and musical words/expressions in Spanish too! Time to stop moving I guess!

Russian is an incredibly difficult language to learn and I have no intention of trying to learn it but I would imagine I can pick up a few phrases from Egor. So far I know the words for "please" and "butter" (not necessarily in that order!) and that's not going to get me very far!!

Anyway… I digress… we have a plan, a target if you like, for each day so that, by next Tuesday, we will be ready to start the more creative things like recording the live tracks, adding the other musicians and singers and, eventually, the orchestral sessions.

By the end of the day today we had almost reached our target and the tracks are sounding very strong already. As soon as I can I will include the final track listing but we have a couple of choices to make first before we finally decide the 12 songs that will make up the first audio CD.

Because of the time difference (CET + 2) I am not able to watch both complete games in the Eurocup but I do like how it's shaping up with all the shock results etc. I digress again! Well, it can't all be work can it!
No matter… at the end of the day, we have put in almost 12 hours practically non-stop so my bed looks really good.

Next day...
