This is our last day this week and we start again
on Monday. I am very happy with the progress we've made and I can
only hope we can keep it up.
One of the things that always amazes me (even after 42 albums and
all these years!) is how fast time goes by in the studio! We've
been averaging 8 hours a day and the time just seems to vanish.
But the main thing is that music is happening and the songs are
coming alive in a beautiful way and that is incredibly satisfying.
I have to thank a lot of people for helping to make this happen
and I'll prepare a list for the CD credits and of course I am thankful
to all of you for your notes of encouragement and support. The last
few months have been some of the most difficult of my whole life
but my faith and the support of friends, family, business associates
and all of you has been a total inspiration. The circumstances of
my life have changed a lot as a result of some bad choices and decisions
I made but I will work hard to correct that and I continue to be
thankful that the circumstances of my career have been allowed to
continue through the kindness and help of some wonderful people.
As I look back over my life I am able to see clearly the mistakes
I have made so I guess I'll have to apply my Dad's rule now and
"leave the mistakes behind and take the lessons with me"!!
My Dad was a smart old dude!! And I miss him.
