April 29th 2004

We have a lot of experience of these trains now so we were well prepared and the journey was smooth and uneventful, rolling into town dead on time!

Now we were facing different tech specs at each show so once again we teamed up to make life as easy as possible for Richard but sometimes this results in agonisingly long sound checks and those are definitely not my favourite.

Early shows I do like, but we were a little late… still the crowd was ready!! We had a good arrangement with security so people could have a good time without actually making it onto the stage like they had a couple of times before. The building was sold out so you have to have a bit of control, just not too much!!

Fabian had caught a cold in Norway and now it was spreading… I felt a bit of it and parts of the show were a bit of a struggle for me but we made it and the crowd was crazy! We are doing the new live version of Lady in Black as an encore and it's a great and noisy way to finish the show. Afterwards there were lots of things to sign and pictures to take but we were able to relax at dinner and celebrate another excellent night.

After dinner we piled onto the tour bus for the 10 hour journey to Orel, tired but happy!

Next day...
