April 30th 2004

In Orel, we stayed at an exclusive resort just out of town. By the time we arrived, the "Fabian Flu" had spread and I thinked that was "helped" by the heating on the bus!! It's miserable enough having a cold, but having one on the road is horrible. The resort name translates to "Dream" in English and it was very nice. The people were very kind and friendly and after lunch we did a quick press conference. By now I wasn't feeling good at all but… "the show must go on"… and we headed for the venue.

It was a beautiful theatre and everything seemed to be in place. Again it took a while to solve all the little production glitches but we "hit the ground running" tonight and the show was dynamite.

I am constantly amazed by the enthusiasm of the Russian audience and it was hard to get everything signed after the show but I always do my best. I learned a long time ago that it's the fans that count!!

Back to the resort for a quick dinner and then a few hours sleep before heading off to Moscow for the flight to Kaliningrad.

I am not a good sick person and I want you all to feel sorry for Monica!! :-)

Next day...
