DAY 21

Having back-to-back shows in the same venue gave us the luxury of a little time to look around Oslo which is a beautiful city. I had an interview to do at noon which was with Metal Express Radio… an internet radio station. Stig is going to contact Rodrigo and see about setting up a link so that you can hear the interview if you want to. They actually have lots of cool stuff on there so you might want to check it out. I think the web site is www.MetalExpress.no.

Did a quick sound check to fine-tune some stuff from the night before and back to the hotel to get ready. On the way, Dave, Pete and I found a little sushi place and spoiled ourselves but soon it was time to leave for the gig.

We arranged to meet in the bar but I couldn't find the band… all I found was a lot of "Mortens"!!! A whole gang of guys and Mari who was the only girl! I called them Mortens because after you've been in Norway for an amount of time it seems as though everyone is named Morten! Just kidding… we had some fun signing and taking pictures before we left for the gig. I did a quick interview with Per for Monster magazine… we had to do it on a stairway outside the dressing room… it was the only place where we could get some peace!!!

The club was over-full so we had to find a side door to get to the dressing room and once we hit the stage the place was bursting with energy and the show was great. A bit too much energy actually bcause tonight I broke TWO strings!! I only think that I am being a bit too enthusiastic because I haven't had this experience before but it did keep John busy!!

Our last show in Norway was certainly a highlight of the tour so far and we spent a really long time signing at the meet & greet.

Willy, the owner of the Rock In, and all of his staff were fantastic and we all agreed that we would do this again! I've got to say a big thank you to all of the Mortens and Kjells and everyone else who made this a very special night.

Next day...
