SATURDAY 21st
More food?? Yes, indeed, it was time
for lunch!!!
Yatta, Aron and Paul then went to the club "Attaka" to
set up the gear for tonight's "show".
We only have to make a short guest appearance… the main purpose
of the night is to raise money for some local charities which is
one of my favourite things to do!!
The club was small but nice and we set about sorting out the borrowed
equipment. It's always risky using unfamiliar stuff but I have to
say it sounded great!!
As it was a show day I didn't go to dinner and stayed in the dressing
room working on a new song, called "Second Chance (a new beginning)"
which will be on "Opramenko".
Our first 30-minute set was "storming" and the crowd went
totally crazy! Then we had a short break so we could present a check
for 78000 rubles (which is approximately $2500) to the charity.
Then we auctioned off some signed posters and an opportunity to
play a song with me and raised another 54000 rubles (you can do
this calculation!!). It is a very satisfying feeling to be able
to help people and to raise so much money especially in a country
like Russia where the average income is very very small!
Anyway we rocked through another 30 minute set and then it was a
lot of signing, taking pictures and shaking lots of hands. Fun…
a whole lot of fun!!!!
But it's late and tomorrow is the big open-air show so I have to
say some extra prayers for good weather!!!
