Asmodean was never a general for any army, though he did serve as a governor of conquered territories. Perhaps one of his greatest atrocities was the revenge he took against
the world’s most famous musicians and artists. Asmodean had these artists maimed so they would never again be able to perform their art. He then released them. Since his release...
After being released from the Bore, Admodean found himself in an uneasy alliance with Lanfear. During a battle with Rand al’Thor, Admodean’s ties to the Dark One were severed. In addition to losing his protection from the taint on saidin
, Asmodean could no longer return to the Forsaken. Lanfear shielded Asmodean with saidar
, allowing him to channel only the tiniest amount of saidin. She intended Asmodean to teach Rand al’Thor what he needed to know about the One
Power. But she did not want Asmodean to teach Rand everything, only enough to prevent him from killing himself with saidin.
Asmodean was killed in Caemlyn by an unknown assailant. It is evident that Asmodean knew his killer, but little more is known. It would also seem that Asmodean was killed with balefire. If this is in fact the case, even the Lord of the Grave cannot save him from death. |
