To join the Geocities Readers Ring, you must do 3 things. First of all, you must join the queue. This allows the ringmaster to add you to the ring when the time comes. To join the queue, fill out the form below and submit it. Once you have joined the queue, copy the HTML code in the large text box below, and paste it into the page you entered into the queue. Please be sure that the page in the queue is the page with this code! Last, you must e-mail the ringmaster and request to be addded to the ring or fill out the request form and submit it. Before you do this, please be sure that your page meets all guidelines for the Geocities Readers Ring. This will save both you and the ringmaster time and effort. Remember-- any page to be admitted to the ring must be located in Geocities, must have a significant section of significant information regarding books, authors, or genres, and must look decent. Here are some simple instructions for quick and easy inclusion in the Geocities Readers Ring:

1. Check out the content guidelines if you have not done so already. You must meet all guidelines to be accepted, so you might as well be sure you do before you start.

2. Fill out the form and submit it to insert your page into the queue. All information must be given or you will not be inserted in the queue. If you have any questions, contact the ringmaster. Otherwise, please continue...

URL of page with Toolbar:

Title of page:

Your email address:

Desired password for ring:

The password allows you to edit this information later. DO NOT FORGET IT.
If you have any problems, e-mail the Geocities Readers Ring Ringmaster.

3. IF YOU HAVE A JAVASCRIPT ENABLED BROWSER, THIS IS EASY! Just click the button marked "Generate code", fill out a quick little form, and the code will be generated for you!

Otherwise, copy this code fragment onto the page you gave as your URL. If you entered the wrong page, go ahead and put this code on whatever page you want it, but be sure to inform the ringmaster of the location of the code. He will change the listing of your page to give the URL of the page with the toolbar. If you want, you may adapt this code to better suit the page it is going on, but be sure to check with the
ringmaster first. THERE IS AN ALTERNATE TOOLBAR, which you might like better. You should check it out before you copy this code. Here is the code for the toolbar fragment:

Be sure to modify this code for you page! If you do not, it will not work, and you will not be admitted to the ring until you do. The instructions are pretty easy. First of all, if you see the "XMP" tags at the beginning and end, DELETE THEM! If you do not, then the code will be displayed as text instead of being interpreted by the browser. Next, wherever it says __YOUR_NAME__ in the code, erase it and put your name. Similarly, where it says __YOUR_E-MAIL_ADDRESS__, and __YOUR_ID__, erase it and put your e-mail address and the page ID given to you after you joined the queue, respectively. Make sure that you put your ID in 6 times, and your e-amil address and name in once each.

4. You're almost there! All you have to do now is tell the ringmaster that you're ready to be reviewed! Just fill out this form and press submit:
Your name (optional):

URL of page to be reviewed:

Your site ID (given to you when you joined the queue):

Page title (optional):

That's it! Now you can sit back and relax and wait for the gratifying waves to wash over you while you savor the tingling feeling of acceptance in your feet and the taste of sweet joy in your mouth... your existence will soon be justified, your life will have meaning... (description not intended to represent actual result of acceptance).
