Terra Dyne - Land of Magic and Adventure

This Dungeons and Dragons play by email game ran from October 1995 to September 1996. It was a two part game, where each player played his/her character and also played a character approximation of him/herself. The premise was that Greg (me), the DM, was able to access his own game world (Terra Dyne) and control it. He sucked his friends into Terra Dyne. Then the real world characters had to figure out how to survive, find Greg and somehow convince him to send them home. The fantasy characters were on a quest to find out what was causing the Darkening, a terrible disturbance in the continuum of magic of the fantasy worlds.
