XANTH

Xanth was unknown to "mundanes" until Piers Anthony * decided to write a book about it. It was a long story. So he decided to make it a trilogy. Well..... we are now on the twenty-fifth book of the trilogy and counting!! Apparently Mr. Anthony isn't good at math . . . this Hobbit doesn't want anyone helping him. I want him to just keep writing!

He has written many different kinds of novels, but the Xanth series is my favorite! (I am planning on adding his other titles as time goes on.)

Xanth Book List

Xanth is a land in (perhaps) another dimension. It is shaped a lot like the state of Florida* in the U.S.A. If you would like to see a map of Xanth click on the word map.

It is a magical land where Magic is normal. Most people live in "Mundania", the land of very little magic.

Most creatures in the land of Xanth are of mixed species such as centaurs, harpies, gryphons etc... there are dragons and humans too. All creatures and humans of Xanth are born with a magical talent or are magical.

These novels are full of magic, puns & fun. These novels are not for those of you who do not have a sense of humor. The really wise find there is always a serious undertone. You can always find something to learn from the "human (creature) condition". Even creatures of Xanth have problems and these stories tell how they solve them. We Hobbits love them!

I am making pages for some of my favorite characters of the series. I will be adding them right along. The green underlined text are pages that have been completed. Some of these pages lead to others that are associated with them, so there are more pages than are listed here. Look forward to more pages about my favorite characters!
