IF I HAD CREATED THE WORLD,
THERE WOULD BE MORE GENTLENESS,
BUT PERHAPS LESS BEAUTY
A Great Blue Heron
Stalks.
I sensed at once the beauty of hunger
In a world so created that life lives on life.
An insight into beauty is terrible,
But truth must be accepted.
I though if I had created the world,
I would have created it otherwise.
I would have created the world after the yogin's dream:
Everything would live on prana, air, not other lives.
