Hello Jesse the thief - December 28, 1998
The "wise" man is only wise in his own head.
  1. Vj ~ It is exactly what a fool would say.

    Does a fool know himself?

  2. Vj ~ He knows he "is only wise in his own head."

I guess we don't have many "wise" men floating around anymore...

  3. Vj ~ Speaking of me or yourself?

they all died of dehydration rather than admit ignorance.

  4. Vj ~ Whose ignorance, theirs or yours?

My, don't we have an ego?

  5. Vj ~ Blame my dad for it.

    lions ARE endangered;

  6. Vj ~ So are the wise.

    and run from humans.

  7. Vj ~ Even they know there are no cure for fools.

"The wise man can draw nectar even from poison." Where do you dig this stuff up???

  8. Vj ~ From the wise!

better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."

  9. Vj ~ Great quote - you have just remove all my doubts about you. Now even you, should know where you stand.

You have an awfully large mouth for such a constricted head.

  10. Vj ~ Amazingly a fast learner, seems you are trying to surpass me.

Hello Jesse the Thief - December 31, 1998
Vj ~ You are back, one last time perhaps; anyway, contrary to your name you can never steal wisdom Jesse, you have to earn it.

Oh, PLEASE, Vj, this is getting pathetic

  11. Vj ~ Need anymore reasons to prove you a fool?

You assault phrases that were OBVIOUSLY meant as jokes,

  12. Vj ~ My "assault phrases" were meant as jokes also.

you win the argument in your own head through sheer lasting power.

  13. Vj ~ The power of wisdom finalizes the victory even before the battle begins.

Well, you have met your match, for raframk is here

  14. Vj ~ raframk may not agree with me on many things, but unlike you, I consider him a very rational adversary.

Any one who has the arrogance to strut around calling every one and his brother a fool, needs to stop and think about what is coming out of his mouth.

  15. Vj ~ Then again, by your own logic, it is only the wise who truly knows who is a fool and he/she should stop to think how best to cure this contagious menace of ignorance.

"I may not be as wise as you..." PLEASE DON'T ENCOURAGE HIM :)

  16. Vj ~ I understand your disregard for my 'wisdom' but shouldn't you be congratulating Amagine, for the little wisdom he possesses or as the fool you are, you haven't noticed it? Regards, and a happy New year Jesse.

    Hello Amagine - December 30, 1998
You know Vj One of the best things in life is to be able to go through all of its pains and joys and not be able to figure them all out.

  17. Vj ~ If it is good enough for a fool so be it. If a doctor does not make the right diagnosis of the ailment what hope is there for a cure? Are you that cruel that when your child cries, that you don't want to know why? How can pain and misery be eliminated if we don't know the cause?

If we want to live with kindness and love in our lives that’s what we must emit.

  18. Vj ~ It is only temporary relief for pain, it is not a cure and while this "kindness and love" is emitting the calamities of the world are growing. It simple means we must know where we came from (the source) and where we plan to go next.

Hello Jessie - December 30, 1998
The fool does not know his own folly, therefore is incapable of judgement.
  1. Vj ~ You seem to be doing a good job of it anyway, that is, if you call it 'judgement'.

    Yes, you have proven that.

  2. Vj ~ The proof lies in whom, who survives this debate. Fools come and go and like them you will also be leaving.

    How sadly true

  3. Vj ~ Sadly true for the lion maybe, since a fool knows nothing of the wise.

I would wager lions know little but the drive for survival.

  4. Vj ~ I will wager the same for a fool.

Ah, but the "wise" are so in your opinion, therefore you are not possibly capable of making such a judgement with certainty.

  5. Vj ~ Then again, how would a fool be capable of making such a judgment of judging the wise?

If you possess the wisdom you claim, you should already know.

  6. Vj ~ It doesn't really look very good for you, how would you know?

I blame your father for your existence; your ego is your own doing.

  7. Vj ~ I know, but he gave me, my name and you asked for the meaning of it. But like a fool you blame the ego also.

I will never know if am truly wise or not

  8. Vj ~ Exactly, how the wise defines a fool.

for I would have no way of knowing if I were a fool

  9. Vj ~ If you don't know, if you are wise or not, it is obvious that you are a fool and since you know not whether you are a fool or not, it is also obvious that you are not wise. Either way, you have proven yourself a fool.

.(EVERY wise person knows THAT, stupid head)

  10. Vj ~ If you know not whether you are wise or not - how do you know what "every wise person knows"?

    Wouldn't dream of it.

  11. Vj ~ For sure, a fool has no dreams; he is content in not knowing whether he is wise or not or whether he is a fool or not.

    I feel more wiser already!

  12. Vj ~ Wise men are not judged by feelings but by intellectual effort.

without any real purpose other than to attempt to bore your opponent to death.

  13. Vj ~ It is fools who are pained by boredom. I see purpose in it for me and those who are humble enough to reason with such knowledge can also find purpose. I will always be here even for the most foolish of questions but fools like you will be bored to death even without it.

If you have nothing better to do than to nurse your ego, go somewhere else where you might be able to find some one who will buy your nonsense.

  14. Vj ~ It seems that you have nothing to do either than to bother with such "nonsense". What makes you think I am not "somewhere else"? Fools make my day, so whether I am here or there makes no difference, fools like you are everywhere. Regards and have a happy New Year.

Hello joeatk - January 01, 1999
VJ, A fool is some one that is totally useless.
  1. Vj ~ Agreed, useless when it comes to good reasoning must be taken into account also. In fact, it is when the intellect is "useless" (static) it renders the body, mind and soul all useless.

And to say that God is useless, and lazy would be blasphemy, and thereby causing the wrath of God.

  2. Vj ~ Boy, am I also powerful. Did I cause "the wrath of God" through hurricane Mich in central America? When there is so much pain and misery in the world for so many, and comfort for only a few, how can such a God as yours, be called useful, impartial, merciful and Compassionate?

How come you answer with questions and never defend your 'religion'?

  3. Vj ~ Defended from what, a fool? Truth is truth and never needs to be defended. It is those of false religions, who are constantly defending untruth and such actions bring them no happiness either.

and if your religion is the true religion, how was it originated?

  4. Vj ~ The link above explains it all.

your tiny mind, or the un-fathomable mind of God?

  5. Vj ~ If you cannot comprehend my "tiny mind", how would you be able to fathom the "un-fathomable mind of God"?

    VJ is not wise

  6. Vj ~ It is impossible for a fool to reach such a conclusion, isn't it brazen of you to claim to be wiser, since it requires some one wise make such a claim as to who is not wise?

he is stuck up in pride and by calling himself wise has become a fool.

  7. Vj ~ Now that we have figure you out to be wise also, aren't you a fool by the same reasoning.

"in proclaiming to be wise they became fools"

  8. Vj ~ How can I ever doubt you, O wise man?

Hello Vivienne - January 13, 1999
She repents and sin no more.
  1. Vj ~ No wonder Jimmy Swaggart and Jim Bakker is making a comeback, it is fools like you who really believe that they will sin no more.

In hinduism, she and screw and offer a pujah-screw and offer a pujah for a lifetime.

  2. Vj ~ It seems to me, the cause is ignorance and since it is, it is forgivable even in the end, since she is ignorant of what forgiveness is. Like a Christian who asks for forgiveness, even though it is ignorant to be a Christian in the first place. Strange as it may seem, what righteousness lies in it for you if all your life is spent analyzing the actions of a whore. Though I would tend to agree with you, since that is all the Bible speaks of - incest, adultery, murder, homosexuality, etc.

if a person sin without knowing it, it's forgivable.

  3. Vj ~ Only a fool, like you, will believe that Lot, Abraham, David and Solomon did not know they were sinning (incest and adultery) .

If a person sin and knows it's a sin before he/she knows it, it is not forgiven.

  4. Vj ~ Then none of the above made it to heaven. If prophets are denied heaven, what hope are there for those who follow? And the same goes for Jimmy Swaggart, Jim Baker who asked for forgiveness? You'd better retract on this statement since you and all Christians are "without sin" which is certain hell. "Blessed are they that are persecuted for righteousness sake..."
  5. Vj ~ Thank you, now that you know when will you stop persecuting me?

You are the persecutor of the righteous.

  6. Vj ~ Anyone who slaughters or help in the cause, of innocent animals to appease the appetite can never be called righteous. Who are they and whom do you call the "righteous"?

He who knows not and knows not he knows not (in this case-you) is an unmitigated fool and should be shunned by the world.

  7. Vj ~ Good thing you separated me by brackets, the wise would have been led to believe it was you.

    You are truly lost.

  8. Vj ~ Not anymore than those, who are awaiting the return of a dead man to save them.

    None is Jesus's puppet.

  9. Vj ~ Could have fooled me! I agree, he was the only puppet.

However, in hinduism, the lesser class is the puppet of the middle class.

  10. Vj ~ So where is your God while all of this is happening?

There is no class system in Christianity.

  11. Vj ~ How about the upper class, middle-class, the class of the poor?

    We have a choice

  12. Vj ~ What choice do the rich have since they can't go to heaven? "It is easier for the camel to pass through the eye of needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." Talk about a rejected class, eh! They contribute more to helping the poor, who have nothing to give, and yet they are denied heaven.

In Hinduism, a Bramhin is superior even if he's a dog.

  13. Vj ~ In Christianity, dogs and cats (household pets) is superior (priority) to a hungry child. They are more preferable for adoption than an orphan child.

Sometimes righteous people fall sick because of the works of the devil and his ambassadors (you're one of them) - that person will still be saved.

  14. Vj ~ If they fall sick how are they saved? Shows that the devil is even more powerful than your God. Who would want to worship such a weak God, fools like you, of course.

You know you wouldn't be saved because you refuse to accept this and is trying to poison the minds of the righteous.

  15. Vj ~ I know for sure that I wouldn't want to be saved by neither you nor your God.

Righteous people, let not the devil sway you.

  16. Vj ~ Thank you for warning me (righteous) of you (devil).

Hello Joe - January 19, 1999
Vj ~ Couldn't be better than expected of this age, my friend. I hope your mission is the same - seeking one truth.

I am not posting to solicit a fight or anything

  1. Vj ~ Fight (through rational discussions) we must, intellectually, to distinguish truth from falsehood.

Man was provided with a free will, which God has given us.

  2. Vj ~ If it were so, why was it necessary for your God to destroy the world and start it all over again? Why were Sodom and Gamorah destroyed? Free-will means freedom in actions whether it be good or sinful but subjected to His justice in the end. An untimely intervention to dispense justice is not free will.

I have chosen to believe the Holy Scriptures & what they contain.

  3. Vj ~ How could it be a choice when you did not study them (religions) all? If the Bible forbids it (blasphemy), then I ask where is free-will to investigate the others?

My decision was not entirely a logical one because Christ cannot be totally explained within the context of human reasoning.

  4. Vj ~ Does it not then speak of a religion lacking reasoning (critical thinking)?

Gods essence is unapproachable to man. His thoughts; Higher than our thoughts. His ways are higher than our ways. These are the mysteries of faith

  5. Vj ~ More like mysteries of a faith, without reasoning.

    That which man cannot see.

  6. Vj ~ Your blindness is the result of Christianity. Why would you prefer to remain blind rather than continuing your search for a cure?

It is only through the mystery & miracle of salvation that man is saved from his sins & sees all things in a different light my friend.

  7. Vj ~ Miracles are the weaknesses of the gullible to be convinced that there is a God, but miracles are also a breech to natural laws and as such can never occur. Again, it would be an injustice on the part of a Just God to forgive sins.

As to equal reward amongst His people. All who accept Christ receive the gift of eternal life.

  8. Vj ~ And what about those before Christ and in regions who never heard of Christ? A finite action can never reap an eternal reward or punishment. Even in our own fallible criminal system we do sentence a man to life imprisonment for stealing a loaf of bread.

The Holy Scriptures say that there will be a judgement of the ones whose name is written in the Lambs Book Of Life & the ones whose names are not.

  9. Vj ~ The scriptures of the Hindus, Muslims and Buddhists, spoke of the same also, why is yours right and theirs wrong?

You sound like an intelligent individual & deserved an attempted intelligent answer.

  10. Vj ~ Sorry Joe, you are not even close to an intelligent answer. How could you anyway, when wisdom is not a necessary tool for Christian salvation? Every defense in Christianity is based on what Jesus or the Bible said, but how could it be true when other religions argued their credibility the same way?

    You will not be disappointed.

  11. Vj ~ And who says I am now?

He waits patiently even to the end of our existence on the earth.

  12. Vj ~ This maybe so, but if you can't tell me where he was in the beginning for all, how can I trust him in the end for a few?

He wills that no one would perish but have everlasting life.

  13. Vj ~ This will be good news for Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot who have committed mass atrocities and not to mentioned mass murderers like Jeffrey Dahmer, Wayne Casey, Ted Bundy, Jack the ripper, etc. Can you see me in this heaven standing next to these maniacs of uncivilized men?. What happiness can there be for you in this heaven when all these barbarians can remind you of is murder, rape and plunder?

Hello abusyguy - January 22, 1999
Vj ~ By the way, if you are denied redemption, know that God did not recognize you by your alias.

Do you actually believe that life is just about entertainment, money, and whatever makes you feel good?

  1. Vj ~ And what else is it? Do you know of any Christian who has it, and has given it up, except Christ?

Life is about Love. I'm talking about true love here.

  2. Vj ~ The “true love” of Abraham impregnating his housemaid and Lot impregnating his two daughters? Any God who loves such putrid characters is no less evil than they are.

God loves us because we are his creation just as a parent loves their child.

  3. Vj ~ Very true, and since you do not accept all religions as a way to God's love, it simple means, you could also be wrong of His love as the others are.

However, when the child places itself as an equal to the parent then it is chaos. . It builds jealousy and anger, and sometimes, even hate.

  4. Vj ~ So what happens when the father is a criminal?

Yes it's possible to hate someone that you love just as it is possible for you to hate yourself.

  5. Vj ~ Then isn't it possible that Christianity has failed you?

God loves his creation and because of tha, He offers us every chance to turn back to Him and recognize that we are His creation made in His likeness.

  6. Vj ~ The dark age of the Christian church does not speak of such love. Isn't it possible that what it failed to do in the beginning it may not realize it in the end also?

If I had become so enraged, so full of evil, and so blinded by humanism that I became such a man as Hitler, then perhaps at some point I might realize that I was wrong.

  7. Vj ~ Maybe so, but what about the millions of lives that were affected by him, who can bring that back? What justice is there for the innocent when God forgives such maniacs who even escape man's justice?

I would then beg for forgiveness, for God's love, for a real life that would edify God.

  8. Vj ~ Any God that look forward for such edification would be worst than Hitler, which is of course reminiscent of the Biblical God and his chosen prophets (messengers), who committed adultery, incest and murder.

And even though I wouldn't deserve it... it is likely that God would forgive me just as he would forgive any other sin when a child of God turns back to Him.

  9. Vj ~ Keep on dreaming my friend, since that is what ignorance leads to. And whatever happens to "And he shall reward every man according to his works." Matt14:27.

I would still deserve death in the eyes of man. But in the eyes of God, I would be redeemed.

  10. Vj ~ And whom do you know that has been redeemed? Religion based on redemption can never bring peace, love or harmony as there is no incentive to practice morality or goodness. The fool, the wise, the generous and the criminal all gains salvation. What intelligent being would want to be a part of this belief?

    Can evil be rated?

  11. Vj ~ Certainly, isn't this why we have censorship?

How do we know that your actions haven't effected hundreds of millions of people both for the worse both in the present and the future?

  12. Vj ~ Not as much as they were affected by Christ? Do you know how many wars and atrocities were committed in the name of Christ and until now the billions of fools are being brainwashed into believing that salvation is simply handed to them.

But yet... God would forgive even you.

  13. Vj ~ The wise need no forgiveness since truth by His wisdom is the way to salvation and rejection of it leads to pain and suffering.

There's no excuse for evil, but because of Christ, we have redemption.

  14. Vj ~ And what about those before Christ or those in regions who never heard of Christ?

Can a fool make a fool of God?

  15. Vj ~ A fool can make a fool of God when God is also a fool. And since a fool also gains salvation by redemption, it simply means your God is fool.

Only in his own mind when he considers himself equal to his creator.

  16. Vj ~ And what wise God would not want any being to be as wise as Him? A selfish Christian God perhaps?

Hello raframk
VijaSingh1, as to your posting #45. As to whether the "wise" are in the majority or minority; I can best answer your question, if you will explain what you mean by "wise".
  1. Vj ~ Wisdom is so define by the true understanding of God's wonderful creation by two types of inquires. The knowledge pertaining to the source of mundane disciplines which included grammar, prosody, etymology, astronomy, mathematics, logic, elementary physics of physical sciences, medicine and the like; and secondly, the knowledge of the Absolute or the Supreme Being. This knowledge of His attributes, characteristics and nature must be in harmony with reasoning and science and in conformity with natural laws.

I hold that ALL human beings have an inherent ability to DEFINE and PRACTICE wisdom.

  2. Vj ~ Very true, but only when that human is guided by the correct knowledge.

That is they can develop a practical ability to use systematic reasoning in addressing the issue of their existence. It is to that inherent potential that I address my advocacy.

  3. Vj ~ If such an ability is not aided by the correct knowledge, we would be where we are, divided and in disharmony.

And, next you show you 'homo-centric' bias. Both "apes" and "wolves" display many humane elements in their behaviors.

  4. Vj ~ It does not change the fact that they are inferior to man. They are souls relegated to lower conditions because of past sinful actions as humans. In spite of being stupor, they are guided by natural instinct, and also they retain many inclinations of humane elements. It is the reason why they are also at different levels if trained to perform certain feats.

They are loyal, are good at parenting, and exhibit patterns of reasoned behavior.

  5. Vj ~ I agree, and they all have a right to exist within God's creation and not subjected to man's personal pursuit of pleasure of hunting and appeasing the appetite, barring self-defense.

They are an evolutionary essential for our survival, but to not recognize them in other spiecies is the height of arrogance.

  6. Vj ~ I am a vegetarian and such I see no arrogance in recognizing their right to survival as a means of my survival. Although their death may relieve their souls of lower conditions, the act of killing and/or consumption is not only detrimental to our present survival but also to the human soul in the future.

As to a civilized existence meaning that there are limits on the nature of our personal behaviors, that is a 'given', un-disputable.

  7. Vj ~ Our personal behaviors are limited to three un-disputable phases or categories of the souls. Firstly, there are souls that come with the inclinations to rise intellectually and/or spiritually with little effort; secondly there are souls which can be nurtured either way depending on how it is guided; and thirdly, there are souls which will go only one way, down, compulsion being so.

But in evolved human forms of governance there is always a right of systematic appeals, to a (supposedly) un-biased third party; and there are built in safe-guards against tyranny.

  8. Vj ~ The human soul is aware of wrong doing by fear or nervousness and shame and like wise in doing good feels a sense of jubilation and happiness. Those who are involved in tyranny are also aware of the wrong but the ego supercedes the mind and becomes the master. This condition is where a soul was either nurtured by the wrong knowledge or it was the last phase of compulsion. Who then would prevent such tyranny? It would be the souls of high inclinations who would have better control.

This is not so with a god (Earthly or 'Heavenly") ordered society. They are by nature dictatorial, with only an appeal to the dictator(s) being possible, although un-wise.

  9. Vj ~ I agree, but that would depend on whose God is in question here. If you must judge God, then it is bias to do so without the further investigations of all religions.

The electronic democracy, based on a practical humane - ist ethic; that I advocate, is meant to be the next step in that humane evolution of humane society.

  10. Vj ~ The advocating of another cult perhaps, haven't we enough of these already and the endless divisions they bring?

It would be a step away from all arbitrary authority. And, into a form of governance where the very basic determiner of the ethicacy of ALL social and economic policy and practice, would be the following question. Does it contribute to an environment of humane INTER-dependence between people, and between people and THE environment.

  11. Vj ~ If it is something new it would have its pitfalls like the others (new age cults) and on the other hand, if it is old, why start again as new when it is already there in some form or the other?

Hello kathyatcheson - February 02, 1999
Mom, can God make a rock that He cannot lift?
  1. Vj ~ He has created a rock (Satan) that He cannot lift (has no control over).

Do you think He wants to look stupid?

  2. Vj ~ Seems to me He (Christian God) was stupid from day one.

It looks like your really bored and need a board to complete your day.

  3. Vj ~ Too bad you cannot see the wisdom I bring in the same way. Then again how can a person of static intellect recognize anything else but boredom?

No you’re wrong about Satan as the created rock.

  4. Vj ~ I don't see how I could be, since this God can't even save anyone on his own.

From all studies I gather he was an angel with many gifts that were pleasing both to God and to other angels.

  5. Vj ~ Only shows you haven't studied anything at all. If God is All-bliss why does He need someone else to please Him?

Satan [as you call him] fell from God's given place and survives only because of God's righteousness.

  6. Vj ~ It is obvious that if angels can fall from righteousness, what guarantee is there of eternal happiness for ordinary folks in heaven?

God made no claim to his dissension and as we can only go with God's word on the topic, I must conclude that Satan’s attributes are purely Satan’s and none other.

  7. Vj ~ It means God's word is not to be taken seriously since it his failure. An Omniscient God is supposed to know what the future holds for anyone that he has created.

Your statement on God's intellect certainly struck me with a message to give to you!

  8. Vj ~ It strucks me too when I found out that He can easily be made a fool by any Christian.

First century Jewish children were taught to demonstrate their knowledge of a subject by asking astute questions about it.

  9. Vj ~ I don't see what good it did them, since their history only speaks of subjugation.

that all who heard twelve year old Jesus were amazed at His understanding and His answers even though the previous verse clearly says that all He was doing was listening and asking questions.

  10. Vj ~ Sounds good up to twelve but seems after that he was dumb until he was 30 or 32.

Jesus was giving His answers in the form of questions.

  11. Vj ~ I tried that but Christians accused me of blasphemy.

Hello Kathy - February 06, 1999
By the One True Revelation . Kathy : Is this of Indian origin or Hinduism?
  1. Vj ~ It is of the Aryan origin before Hinduism. The ancient Aryan civilization came to an end about 6,000 years ago.

So might I ask if your are asking if Jesus Christ is Lord, liar or a lunatic?

  2. Vj ~ It would be unwise of me to accused Jesus of being a liar or lunatic or praised him for being Lord, since Jesus himself did no personal writing.

"It is not His teachings which make Jesus so remarkable, although these would be enough to give Him distinction.

  3. Vj ~ His distinction is more noted by his popularity in this age because of the large following but the same can be said of Mohammad, Buddha and Krishna. The authors of the above are bias not to make the same distinctions of the others.

It is obvious to any reader of the New Testament that Jesus taught, although His teachings were about the kingdom of God and about human conduct and about God.

  4. Vj ~ Wisdom is measured by a knowledge that is in harmony with reasoning and science and in conformity with natural laws. According to the Bible, whoever wrote it, these laws are violated and so are the attributes of God. Furthermore, there are numerous occasions where the New Testament is in contradiction with the Old Testament and no intelligent person can accept any inconsistent work to be that of an Omnipotent and Omniscient God.

He either knew it was false or He did not know it was false.

  5. Vj ~ I don't think it was either. He probably knew what was true but since he did not write anything himself, it simply means one or more people were eager to invent a religion, in his name, that caters for both the righteous and the unrighteous (by repentance) as well.

The evidence is clearly in favor of Jesus as Lord.

  6. Vj ~ Depends on who is providing the evidence. Men of bias understanding as I have stated earlier cannot be a reliable source of the truth.

There needs to be a moral honesty in consideration of Jesus.

  7. Vj ~ As much as personal conduct is important, it must be guided by the correct knowledge. The cause of the universe has never been established by Christ and it is where truth begins.

I might find delight in continuing. That is with your consent!

  8. Vj ~ It would be my pleasure since no one needs consent to seek truth.

Hello Kathy - February 08, 1999
It would be unwise of me to accused Jesus of being a liar or lunatic or praised him for being Lord, since Jesus himself did no personal writing.
Kathy - Why would it be necessary to judge Christ’s authority by what He personally wrote?
  1. Vj ~ So that I could wisely accused him personally of being a liar or lunatic or praised him for being Lord.

He was and is after all a historical figure regardless of who recorded His history.

  2. Vj ~ And so were Krishna and Buddha long before him and Mohammad, etc.

His distinction is more noted by his popularity in this age because of the large following but the same can be said of Mohammed, Buddha and Krishna. The authors of the above are bias not to make the same distinctions of the others.
Kathy -Large following? Is there something I've missed in my studies?!

  3. Vj ~ Not from the Christian perspective!

From all I have understood of the writings in the Bible and elsewhere show Jesus followers were very few. Even his own race of people rejected His message.

  4. Vj ~ Since his race is still immersed in ignorance, it shows how little you do understand of the writings of the Bible. At a time when mankind believe the world was flat and the sun was moving, Christianity was born.
"Again, the devil taketh him up unto an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;" Matt 4:8.
Amidst this ignorance, the Bible was written, how can Christians of this modern world still believe in such a book as God's word?

How is it that someone could follow the leadership of those you write about when there objective is to claim only self satisfaction with little to no satisfaction to a fulfillment to life itself?

  5. Vj ~ The satisfaction of fulfillment is a personal achievement for the soul, which cannot be described by the tongue, therefore wise men can only show us the way.

That a single person of only small to little worth to anyone could somehow gain by subjecting to the teachings that state your status in life is all your worth?

  6. Vj ~ The little worth or conditions we accept, without knowing what is truth, is divine justice, but to remain there without further inquires is a greater injustice.

Wisdom is measured by a knowledge that is in harmony with reasoning and science and in conformity with natural laws. According to the Bible, whoever wrote it, these laws are violated and so are the attributes of God. Furthermore, there are numerous occasions where the New Testament is in contradiction with the Old Testament and no intelligent person can accept any inconsistency of an Omnipotent and Omniscient God.
Kathy - Here I could not possibly agree.

  7. Vj ~ Typical of a static Christian intellect. What's new? How could you agree when even your God (Christ) lacks reasoning, reveal no science and is completely ignorant of natural laws?

    Wisdom is measured by knowledge,

  8. Vj ~ Wisdom is measured by the practice of true knowledge (reasoning guided by the correct knowledge.

however the best of wisdom is achieved from a knowledgeable source and not therefore experienced.

  9. Vj ~ How else can the source be established if wisdom is not experienced?

To abide by another's authority in all given acceptance without allowing foolish pride to ambush your learning experience, this is, true wisdom.

  10. Vj ~ Then you are not speaking of Christianity here, since Christians do not encourage critical thinking, which is the first and most important step to acquiring wisdom.

The Bible teaches that God is all knowing in every matter

  11. Vj ~ Creating Lucifer, who turned to be evil; the light was only good after he created it; and asking Cain where is Abel, are a few instances that do not speak of an all-knowing God.

and in as much as we are given free will to gain further understanding of this, we are asked to accept His authority when looking for knowledge.

  12. Vj ~ What kind of authority is that when it does not encourage critical thinking? I have been to many Christian teens message-boards and they were all taught that wisdom is not a necessary tool for salvation. The mere thought of critical thinking is an offence to them. This suppression of the free-born soul is not free will.

Bible contradictions is one of my special interest, perhaps you might share a few of your claims to contradiction so that I might understand exactly where you might be misled.

  13. Vj ~ How would you be able to see it as contradictions when all you know is Christianity? The sweetness of sugar is determined by the taste of salt. Check my own contradictions at Christianityand for further contradictions at Biblical Errancies

Hello kathyatcheson - February 08, 1999
Vj ~ It is of the Aryan origin before Hinduism. The ancient Aryan civilization came to an end about 6,000 years ago.
Kathy … Religious life of the Aryan's apparently took the form of fertility cults.
  1. Vj ~ Whatever form it took, it was due to the rejection of the one true religion.

Indus civilization was probably in decline when it was destroyed by Aryan invaders from the NW,

  2. Vj ~ Even if was, it occurred only a few centuries after the Biblical creation of the universe. The Aryan invasion is a myth, India at that time was known as Aryavarta, the land of the Aryas (noble). An Arya is so called because of his faith in the Vedas.

speaking an Indo-European language from which most languages of Pakistan, N India, and Bangladesh descend.

  3. Vj ~ The source of all languages is Sanskrit and it has always been the language of the ancient Vedic civilization.

Led by a warrior aristocracy whose legendary deeds are in the Rig Veda,

  4. Vj ~ I don't know where you're getting your information from, but the Vedas are eternal and have no historical references.

the Aryans spread E and S, bringing their sky gods, elaborate priestly (Brahman) ritual, and the beginnings of the caste system; local customs and beliefs were assimilated by the conquerors.

  5. Vj ~ True, the decline of the Aryan civilization saw the princely states at war among themselves and resulted in Hinduism the source of all false religions.

Hitler claimed racial superiority for the Aryans, of which he said the Germans were the highest form. As the master race, they were told, they had the right to dominate all nations they subjected. Hitler successfully appealed to a Germany that was humiliated by defeat in World War I (1914-1918) and the Treaty of Versailles of 1919.

  6. Vj ~ The Germans who studied the language of the Vedas, also certainly came know of its valuable science. Had they also applied the ethics and morals of the Vedas, they could have conquered the world by nobility instead of annihilating themselves with its science (weapons).

Veda is any of the oldest Hindu sacred texts, composed in Sanskrit and gathered into four collections. The oldest literature of Indian thought is the Veda, a collection of poems and hymns composed over several generations, beginning as early as 1200 BC.

  7. Vj ~ Only the view of Western Historians.

Indian philosophy was more decisively established with the Upanishads, the first of which may have been written in the 7th century BC. In the Upanishads, views about the nature of God and one's true self were explored.

  8. Vj ~ There are hundreds of expositions all in harmony with the Vedas and this is so to meet the intellectual decline of human civilization.

The Veda, including the Upanishads, a collection of rituals and mythological and philosophical commentaries; a vast number of epic stories about gods, heroes, and saints, including the Bhagavadgita, a part of the Mahabharata, and the Ramayana; and a great variety of other literature.

  9. Vj ~ Now you are truly speaking of Hinduism, but there are many books available that are not tainted by Hindu mythologies. This is why it is so necessary to reason with the correct knowledgeto know what is truth and what is false.

Kathy … If I am not mistaken the Torah , along with the Pentateuch outdate these writings.

  10. Vj ~ Writings maybe outdated but the revelation of the Vedas, the source of ethics, morals and all sciences stands firm as only truth that existed from the beginning of creation for all of mankind.

Reading your referenced web site makes a claim that it's writings are the oldest known! Now may I ask is this what you call seeking out the truth?

  11. Vj ~ It claims these five tests of truths, the only way truth must be determined:
      _
    1. It must exist in its entirety from the beginning of creation for all of mankind.
Oppose - Millions born before Moses were deprived of the 'Ten Commandments'
    2. It must conform with natural laws.
Oppose - The cause of the physical body is the reproductive element - any other method of conception as 'virgin birth' is a breach to this law.
    3. It must be in harmony with reasoning.
Oppose - Incest is immoral now and it had to be the same also in the beginning (creation of one man and one woman).
    4. It must be in harmony with science.
Oppose - Modern science has proven creation to be more than 6,000 (biblical age) years old.
    5. Its truth must be confirmed by four evidences :-
      • Direct Cognition - Not all that is known by perception can be true.
      • Inferences - God is eternal therefore we can infer that there were past creations and as well as there will be future ones.
      • Testimony - The testimonies of Rishis, sages and seers of the Vedas (altruistic teachers are all in harmony with each other.
      • History - There are many books (Mahabharata, Valmiki's Ramayan) and source of other civilization which speak of the past ancient Vedic (Aryan) civilization.

Hello kathyatcheson - February 08, 1999
Vj - I don't think it was either. He knew what was true but since he did not write anything himself, it simply means one or more people were eager to invent a religion, in his name, that caters for both the righteous and the unrighteous (by repentance) as well.
Kathy - The writers of the New Testament either wrote as eyewitnesses of the events they described or recorded eyewitness firsthand accounts of the events.
  1. Vj ~ Try again!
"So very marked and significant are contradictions between the first three Gospels and the fourth, that if the former are to be taken as giving in main a true picture, the latter can neither be historical nor the production of an eye witness." Rev. Sunderland.
They certainly knew the difference between myth, legend and reality. The things applied to Christ and the things applied to Greek mythology are usually overlooked. The similar events, such as the resurrection, etc, of Greek mythology were not applied to real, flesh and blood individuals, but rather to mythological characters. However when it comes to Christianity, these events are attached to a person the writers knew in time-space dimension history, the historic Jesus of Nazareth whom they knew personally.
  2. Vj ~ I see no difference in Christianity and Greek mythology since they both breeched, the attributes of God, reason, natural laws and science.

    S. Estborn in "Gripped by Christ" explains further, he relates that Anath Nath who studied both the Bible and the "Shastras." Two biblical themes in particular deeply engaged his mind: first, the reality of the Incarnation, and second, the Atonement for human sin. These doctrines he sought to harmonize with Hindu Scriptures. He found a parallel to Christ's self-sacrifice in Prajapati, the Vedic creator-god. He saw, too, a vital difference. Whereas the Vedic Prajapati is a mythical symbol, which has been applied to several figures, Jesus of Nazareth is a historic person. Jesus is the true Prajapati he said, the true Savior of the world.

  3. Vj ~ It is true when one wants to justify false religions one always look for support from idiots. How can the true Prajapati exist only from 2,000 years ago rather than from the beginning of Creation? How just can he be when millions in remote regions never heard of him of being the only way to salvation?

1John 1:1-3 "What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we beheld and our hands handled, concerning the Word of Life - and the life was manifested, and we have seen and bear witness and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us - what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, that you also may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ."

  4. Vj ~ John has depicted Jesus as a manifestation of God himself from the beginning and if He is so, then who is the father when father (Jesus) becomes son?

Hello missmuffit99 - February 09, 1999
God is no respecter of persons.
  1. Vj ~ Of course He is, isn't this why He granted us free will?

God knows the hearts of all men.

  2. Vj ~ Except that of Cain who slew Abel.

God's love is more than we can imagine.

  3. Vj ~ Try to exist on imagination only, and you would be dead before you know it.

God can turn any fool into a wise man.

  4. Vj ~ How come you are still a fool?

For it would take a wise man to believe in God.

  5. Vj ~ In my book it takes a fool to believe in God and a wise man to know God.

The fool say's in his heart there is no God’s .proverb.

  6. Vj ~ The fool says in his heart there is a God but cannot prove His existence.

If he say's there is no God then how can he make God a fool.

  7. Vj ~ One who says there is no God is not a fool, since he is looking for serious proofs of His existence, while a fool who only believes in God has no serious proof. In this case it is better to be an atheist than a hypocrite.

    Hello Kathy - February 10, 1999
    One small clarification:

  8. Vj ~ The whole Bible needs clarification and it is absolutely a terrible waste of valuable time to clarify it by its own merits since it breeches every law of creation.

God knows the hearts of men because He knows the destructive course man has taken in the form of "sin."

  9. Vj ~ True, and this is why He has sent us instructions of ethics and morals to be guided and what would be the penalty for sinning. Therefore, there can be no forgiveness of sins, since it is His justice that a man reaps only what he sows. Every adversity whether it be minor pains, poverty, hunger, disease, blind or deaf is proof of punishment for sinful actions.

One might ask well then, what IS sin?The answer is: Sin is any action taken outside the will God. The creator spoken of within the Holy Bible.

  10. Vj ~ Since the Bible takes sin so lightly, as it can be forgiven, it cannot be a reliable source of defining sin. It is imperative to note that there are different standards of ethical and moral achievements or failures of the human soul which would justify different rewards or punishment and can never be one, 'eternal heaven or hell'. Our own system of Justice does not operate in such a way why would it be so for an Omnipotent and Omniscient God? It is a sin to worship a false God, and if you have failed to do thorough and impartial inquires into other faiths then you are yet to establish your God as true.

In as much as God knew of the destruction Cain and Able faced, it was Gods will to allow free choices.

  11. Vj ~ Again it was NOT free choices when He destroyed the world to start a new one.

This then becomes an active ingredient to submitting to Him freely.

  12. Vj ~ The active ingredient in submitting to His will is wisdom attained by the practice of the correct knowledge (Vedas) and guided by reasoning. It is not free will to destroy those who have rejected Him.

Wisdom cannot be obtained through blind obedience, when doubt overwhelms reasoning.

  13. Vj ~ Then why do you insist that the Bible, a book of contradictions, inconsistencies, vulgarity and obscenities, is the spoken word of God.

Hello Muxian - February 11, 1999
VJ ... its obvious that you approach religion as a science.
  1. Vj ~ If man had to be instructed in ethics and morals, it is only reasonable to believe that he had to be instructed in science also.

That's utterly ridiculous because you are trying to explain the supernatural in natural terms.

  2. Vj ~ There is no other term. Any other term, like yours, only ends up violating His attributes and natural laws.

Which makes you look like the fool.

  3. Vj ~ I strive for wisdom to attain salvation, you, on the other hand, don't need it, and gains salvation also. This leaves either you or the God that grants salvation to you, a fool. Besides, a fair judgment to conclude who is a fool is voided by your ignorance of natural laws.

No one can make a fool of God, only we can make fools of ourselves.

  4. Vj ~ So why are you making a fool of yourself?

Don't get me wrong, wisdom is important but it is not the be all or end all.

  5. Vj ~ How can I get you wrong, when you are already wrong. If wisdom is not the "end all", what then is its importance?

Nor does any amount of wisdom change one's eternal destination.

  6. Vj ~ Wisdom is the practice of truth and is it not the truth that would set us free?

You can be as wise at Albert Einstein, but if you believe that there is no God or you believe in a false god, then all of your wisdom amounts for only recognition among the human living world.

  7. Vj ~ Wisdom is the recognition of true science of which the most abstruse science is God; the reverse is ignorance leading to the belief in false gods.

It does not buy you anything in the afterlife/eternity where the realm is spiritual/supernatural.

  8. Vj ~ Anyone that fails to investigate all other religions, besides one's own, can never know the realm of afterlife or the supernatural. Since all religions hold the same view and they all oppose each other, how could they all be right? In every profession it is knowledge and practice of that knowledge that buys a man or a woman a successful family life and it can’t be any different for afterlife.

Basically, there can be only one truth.

  9. Vj ~ Basically you are right, but how can it be recognized by a fool and where do we look for it?

For those who believe the wrong thing (take the cult who committed suicide to be with the UFO in the Hale Bop comet for instance)

  10. Vj ~ This is due to pure ignorance, in the same way as they were expected to be saved by a comet, Christians also expected to be saved by Christ - I see no difference in these two views.

you do not get a second chance at life or a second chance to accept Jesus as the only True Savior.

  11. Vj ~ Then those before, and in regions who never heard of Jesus, have no chance at all, what an injustice? How can your God be so inconsistent in compassion and mercy? I am yet to meet a Christian with even a little bit of common sense.

Choose wisely whom you will serve today because you may not get a second chance....

  12. Vj ~ How can you who see wisdom as unnecessary, choose wisely?

..and your choice will determine your eternal destination.

  13. Vj ~ And what do you understand by the word "eternal" - “that which has neither beginning nor end” and I know that anything finite, that has a beginning (created) can never be eternal. And whatever is not eternal must perish.

Hello Kathy - February 12, 1999
The Old Testament teaches us of a covenant between Abraham and God.
  1. Vj ~ The Old Testament "an ye for an eye" contradicts the New Testament "turning the other cheek" - This shows God inconsistency in having different laws for different ages. It is a violation of His attribute of being Omniscient.

oses was given laws to govern God's people by.

  2. Vj ~ Again God's justice is question again, since millions before Moses were deprived of these laws. Not to mention those in remote regions (Incas and Mayans) who never heard of Moses or Christianity.

As for God's punishment, the action that I have known Him to take are in allowing sin to continue,

  3. Vj ~ If God can allow it, He can certainly prevent it, but since He didn't then He has no control over it. It is us, who have to exercise control by acquainting ourselves with the correct knowledge to walk the moral path and eventually salvation. The prophets of the Bible are an absolute disgrace to true ethics and morals.

along with His divine absence in physical manifestation.

  4. Vj ~ Get a grip of yourself lady, there can never be a physical manifestation of Him, since it will also be a breech to His attribute of being Omnipresent and all-pervading (all-knowing).

This bridge might be found through Jesus Christ, God only begotten Son

  5. Vj ~ And what would happen to those in remote regions dead or alive who haven't found this bridge?

Kathy responds, you write as if you have some dislike for sin

  6. Vj ~ It is an impediment to those who seek wisdom. One can only dislike sin when one truly knows what is sin.

Someone who accepts the myths of cult like worship would hardly be someone to have any kind of respect for the attributes in sin.

  7. Vj ~ This maybe a surprise to you, but being a Christian is a grave sin also; it inculcates the worship of a false God. It means you are sinning every second, minute, hour, day, week, month and year of your life being a Christian

What I mean is do you find yourself without sin?

  8. Vj ~ No, but I am working with the correct knowledge and the practice of its virtue to be reborn in a better or higher condition where I can practice without sin to gain emancipation. It may take me several births but I am on my way up while you are on your way down.

It is my humble opinion that the Bible takes only one serious view into consideration.

  9. Vj ~ So do the Vedas, Q'uran, Gita, Zen Avesta and Grantha. How would you know your view to be serious if you haven't thoroughly examined the others?

That would be to give the reader whose quest is to find the truth, to find it within ITS writings.

  10. Vj ~ By now you of all persons should know that there are many existing religions and to simple ignore their writings as quest for truth would be foolish indeed. Truth must be ascertained by all these sources not one.

The Bible teaches us who God is!

  11. Vj ~ Contradictions and inconsistencies can teach us very little of an Omnipotent God.

And so sin, though I do not agree with your assumption of it being taken lightly, is not the objective of its writings!

  12. Vj ~ Their must be some objective since He not only created it but allowed it. The failure is that supposedly righteous men as prophets even failed to live righteous lives, how would it be possible for those who follow in their footsteps? This is not so in Vedic theology, all those who expounded it, lived an exemplary life of good moral conduct even to the last Rishi Swami Dayanand .

Standards created by reasoning through "man's" logic can only be flawed.

  13. Vj ~ And what standards can you expect when such a book is the Bible?

The Bible teaches that God has created us all equals in His eyes!

  14. Vj ~ Your God is blind since we are not equal - some are born in poverty and some in luxury, some in sickness and some in good health and some bright and some dull. Isn't it simple common sense that we should know why, and if the Bible doesn't have the answer, that it maybe somewhere else?

A created being meant to exist in harmony, to enjoy with "passion" life in its fullest measure. . Not only to enjoy but also, to share that joy.

  15. Vj ~ Quite true, but what joy is there for one who is in constant pain and misery all one's life? If these people suffer for the benefit of others to share their joys, isn't it an injustice?

The Bible teaches that heaven is where Christ is building a home for us to be with God.

  16. Vj ~ All things created of matter are finite in nature, and they must return to matter and can never be eternal, it is a law. Christ, as well as the “home” he is building cannot exist forever.

The answer is very simple; hell is where God is not.

  17. Vj ~ Then your god is not omnipresent and therefore cannot be God. God is eternal and so are His nature, attributes, and Characteristics.

Our kind of justice is not run with the authority of God at its main roots.

  18. Vj ~ Make sense, if you do, there would have been no prisons or law enforcement since all criminals would have been forgiven for their crimes. A system that would have brought on a lawless society where there would have been no laws to deter crimes.

Therefore, though the roots remain in the earth and feed from it's life source, it has yet to taste the spring of living water that God will one day provide us.

  19. Vj ~ Typical of an envious and unjust God to deprived his creation the taste of the spring's living water of God. This theory is out of whack, since no one can experience it before death.

Hello Kathy - February 13, 1999
The judicial penalty of an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth is stated in Exodus 21:24 as a means of ending feuds.
  1. Vj ~ The signs of feuds, etc. in the Biblical age, only show that they should not have been blamed for it since they had no proper instructions on ethics and morals. There was a tree and the fruits eaten were the knowledge, how in God's name can a human being acquire knowledge by eating a fruit? Furthermore, it is an absolute disgrace to human intelligence that a serpent could have spoken the human tongue.

However, Jesus is clearly saying this method is not a license for vengeance.

  2. Vj ~ If this method was adopted in the beginning it probably would have prevented many such feuds.

There is no greater example of this ethical truth than the life and death of Jesus Himself.

  3. Vj ~ It is still an injustice since it did not serve those before him.

Abraham is offered throughout the New Testament as the prototype of those who are justified by faith....are blessed with faithful Abraham.

  4. Vj ~ Abraham was a liar and adulterer (impregnated his housemaid), such conduct as a progenitor of righteousness does not stand well for those who follow him. What incentive is there for anyone to lead a morally good life when faith can fix it in the end? When it comes to faithfulness I am quite certain I am way ahead of Abraham.

There can never be a physical manifestation of Him, since it will also be a breech to His Omnipresent attribute.

  5. Vj ~ You seem to be way out on this one. He walked with Abraham, impregnated Sarah and Moses saw his back parts, God is a subtle spirit that pervades (knows all) the Universe. He can never be subjected to bondage, physical form, for He is All-bliss.

The Bible teaches that only those who refuse God's grace will not be chosen. Those who have not received His word may at the last days receive it at that time and then will need to make a choice.

  6. Vj ~ Well, what is the necessity for the religion of Christianity when all of us could have made our choices on the last day? This way it would have been just since all would have the same preference of a choice. Again, is it not an injustice that you have to labor all your life to be a Christian in good standing to go heaven while those before never did and are rather fortunate to be given only one day to make a choice? Tell me, who would be that stupid to choose hell over heaven knowing that it is the last and only day to make a choice?

Hello Kathy - February 16, 1999
Kathy Responds, There are two institutions that God has given to the human family: one is marriage, and the other is human government God permits man to rule himself today
  1. Vj ~ Science has proven that these laws have existed long before the biblical age of creation, how can you hold on to such a book as the truth. If there is such a message in the Bible, it was not there from the beginning for all mankind either. There is nothing in the bible about the science of government and the sanctity of marriage is in question when this God chose to have his own son (Jesus) born out of wedlock.

    Scripture records..

  2. Vj ~ More like history to me

that Abraham followed the heathen custom of begetting a child..

  3. Vj ~ How does your “scripture” define this as righteousness?

to be his heir by a slave girl,

  4. Vj ~ What has heredity got to do with righteousness? Seems more like kingship to me.

    because his wife was barren

  5. Vj ~ How could she, when still had children after?

“I pray thee go in unto my maid,” Sarah asked her husband. “It may be that I may obtain children by her” (Gen. 16:2

  6. Vj ~ Today a child that is born out of wedlock is called a bastard. Is this what you call an act of righteousness? Besides, the religion born out of Ishmael is completely intolerant to other faiths thereby threatening universal harmony.

The slave girl, Hagar, soon bore a son for Abraham

  7. Vj ~ An unrighteous act can only produce unrighteous results. It has been for centuries and until today, there is hardly any peace in this world because of Islam.

    Re-post #93
In fact I find being a Christian the most satisfying experience in all that I have come to know.

  8. Vj ~ It is very selfish on your part in not considering those in remote regions who never heard of Christianity. Isn't the injustice greater since they never had the opportunity as you do, to enjoy "the most satisfying experience" as a Christian?

It is as God had always intended, to share the joy of life!

  9. Vj ~ Except for those before Christ or in regions where they never heard of him. Isn't this a bias performance of a God who is supposed to be Compassionate and Merciful?

Stupidity is not the question that will be asked.

  10. Vj ~ How could they when Christians and their God, are all stupid. Who would be that stupid, except the mentally retarded, to choose hell over heaven knowing it is the last and final day? It is not only a question of stupidity, but a grave injustice. The stupidity lies with your God.

We must not be taking a leap in the dark, faith is not a leap in the dark. It must rest upon the Word of God.

  11. Vj ~ Seems that your "Word of God" is entirely in the dark, and resting on it, is indeed a leap into the dark.

    Faith rests upon something.

  12. Vj ~ Yes! And that something is darkness which leads to ignorance. Faith that rests on reasoning is the light to truth.

The Holy Spirit who has come into the world to tell about Another.

  13. Vj ~ And where was God when the Holy Spirit came into the world?

The thing that is primary as far as God is concerned is to get the gospel out to the peoples of the world.

  14. Vj ~ If it was primary, why did he not send it in the beginning for all?

The Spirit of God is here to put this first.

  15. Vj ~ To put this first on the last days is an act of an unjust and confused God, and so are those who follow him.

    Re-post #94
Yes scripture does state that God spoke to him, and that an angel of the Lord visited him.

  16. Vj ~ Are there no more righteous adulterers, etc. where this God and angels can visit now?

In all cases throughout the bible we are given an understanding that there is a veil between God and man.

  17. Vj ~ And that veil is ignorance, the Bible itself, how can a Christian ever reason?

Hello Kathy - February 17, 1999
Well Hey Vej! I thought I lost ya there for a while. Glad to see you are still looking in.
  1. Vj ~ I have many message boards and I have no intention of abandoning them. Glad to know that you are still around.

In modern times the name Christian has been somewhat emptied of its true meaning as a follower of Christ.

  2. Vj ~ It is only reminiscent of the past. When Christianity was born, civilization was at that point considered modern also. His 'return' to save Christianity will be modern also and perhaps a new name. The emphasis on these philosophical or spiritual beliefs of mediators denies one of God's true roles as Creator, Sustainer and Dissolver.

while others have sought to make its proper use the name of a particular denomination.

  3. Vj ~ Had there been one truth it would have been impossible for so many to be divided in so many ways. It is the contradictions of the messages that has led to these many denominations (divisions).

However, its original meaning is a noble one, of which any follower of Christ can rightly be proud.

  4. Vj ~ Nobility in itself must be the origin of one truth, from the very beginning of creation and changes nowhere down in civilization. As in Vedic philosophy, many noble men have come in different ages, but their messages were in harmony with each other. Their purpose of coming was only to remind us of what is already here and nothing new.

    Hello Ilaudermilk - February 17, 1999
You may not know better, but the one who controls your mind does.

  5. Vj ~ Shows how little you know. No one else is in control of my mind but me. If anyone else were in control of it then I would not be responsible for what I do.

"For we (CHRISTians) wrestle NOT against flesh & blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

  6. Vj ~ Your God did (with Jacob). Only idiots keep on wrestling with no permanent results. Had it not been so, you would have been free of wrestling already.

    Hello @Ankara - February 17, 1999
have you ever heard that the bible quotes the name "jehovah",

  7. Vj ~ It makes no difference what the name is, when he is still a fool.

i feel this scares me most and that if the teachings i am reading is true, that we go to church on sunday and sing glory to our great lord jehovah... who are we praying to ? Scary isnt it?!

  8. Vj ~ When one gets to know God there is no fear. Know that if fear exists you worship nothing else but a false God.

Hello Kathy - February 19, 1999 the Bible does not discussed the subject of evolution.
  • Vj ~ It should have how else would the evolutionists know that it was specially created. Must a doctor not know also of what is consist of good health and as well as a diseased one?

Rather, it's worldview assumes God created the world.

  • Vj ~ What good is this assumptive view when this God cannot educate you to how, when ,why and out of what it was created?

The biblical view of creation is not in conflict with science; rather, it is and conflict with any world view that starts without a creator.

  • Vj ~ Shows how little you know of science, if God taught us all that we know where in the Bible did he reveal science?

Equally committed and sincere Christians have struggled with the subject of beginnings and come to differing conclusions.

  • Vj ~ It simply means that the Bible is not clear on the subject and in such case the ignorant can never be educated to bring harmony to the world.

This, of course, is to be expected because the evidence is a very old and, due to the ravages of the ages quite fragmented.

  • Vj ~ It only meant that the evidences (Bible) were always fragmented otherwise the ages would not have been so ravaged.

The most important aspect of the continuing discussion is not the process of creation, but the fortune of creation.

  • Vj ~ If you do not understand the source how would you know that you are not being misled by the fortune?

The world is not a product of blind chance and probability; God created.

  • Vj ~ Maybe so, but how is the blind (the bible) teach the blind (Christians) of God's creation?

The Bible not only tells us that the world was created by God; more important, it tells us who God is.

  • Vj ~ I doubt it, since the bible is the source of three different major religions, each opposing each other, which one is truly speaking of whom God really is?

God made him who had no sin to be sent for us, so that in him we might be, the righteousness of God.

  • Vj ~ How is this God without sin, be able to make one without sin when He was not able to do so before. Furthermore, wouldn't one without sin be more beneficial to mankind in the beginning rather than 4,000 years after.

    God chose Abraham

  • Vj ~ Why did he not chose one without sin then?

Abraham chose God's direction. This is righteousness.

  • Vj ~ You are probably sitting on your brains - is adultery (impregnating a housemaid) God's direction. The bastard born of such a direction (adultery) gave birth to Islam, which has brought only chaos to this world. Is this righteousness?

Today a child that is born out of wedlock is called a bastard. Is this what you call an act of righteousness?
Kathy responds: A kind warning, I generally don't enter into this type of question. I believe that these are better answered under the topic of morals and ethics.

  • Vj ~ So some parts of the God's word you would choose to ignore? God's word is ethics and morals why would you not want to discuss it? Are you afraid that Jesus might turn out to be a bastard also?

There will never be peace on earth, we can thank Satan for that.

  • Vj ~ Don't you think the thanks should go out to one who created him?

I believe a Christian would disagree with your statement.

  • Vj ~ And what have these ignorant souls agree with so far?

It is more likely that a believer would ask to be in the presence of the Gods only begun Son, Jesus Christ.

  • Vj ~ Isn't it rather selfish to think of Christ being here for you while ignoring the deprived souls in the past and remote regions?

Considering the time in which we are speaking, the only way God could get the word out to all people would be to ask Abraham to broadcast it on the news.

  • Vj ~ Perhaps, it could have been possible if he weren’t so busy seducing is house maid. Christ did not broadcast it on the news in his time, so why was it necessary for Abraham to do so?

But then wait a minute, that would interrupt most people in building their empires, electing their rulers, instructing their slaves, pursuing other wives, assisting wife's a and selecting concubines, slaughtering neighboring tribes offering their children to bogus gods and so on.

  • Vj ~ What difference would it have made anyways since these things occur among Christians even to this day in spite of Christ?

Giving into that kind of thought, I am thinking, perhaps God wanted only assistance with a selected few.

  • Vj ~ If you are not the idiot, then your God certainly is! Since the selected few are already righteous, would it not make sense that his word would be of benefit mainly to the majority who are unrighteous?

Who would be that stupid to choose hell over heaven knowing it is the last and final day?
my guess is, a person who is unable to give all authority to God.

  • Vj ~ Are you certain you weren't guessing all this time? If they lack the authority then it is obvious they were denied it since Jesus was not there for them.

Vj-And where was God when the Holy Spirit came into the world?
Kathy responds: we only see God as a divine individual. There is no attribute that humanity could describe him in his present circumstances. Although, the Son of God did send the Holy Spirit who knows the mind of God and the experiences of Christ.

  • Vj ~ You haven't answered the question. God is either God and present everywhere. If he is in need of son and Holy Ghost to do his work then he is surely not God.

Are there no more righteous adulterers, etc. where God and angels can visit now?
Kathy responds: maybe, although the Bible is silent in the actions of Gods will of today in a general way, I can expect that his works has not yielded, regardless

  • Vj ~ Doesn't that tell you that it was only for a certain age in the past where people were totally ignorant and yet in this modern age people like you are even more ignorant, in spite of our advancement in science, to believe in such nonsense?

    Hello Kathy - February 22, 1999
"Vj writes... If God taught us all that we know where in the Bible did he reveal science."
Kathy responds, maybe I'm missing something here.
    1. Vj ~ You have missed the whole truth so far.

Did I say that God teaches us "all"?

    2. Vj ~ No you didn't! But how stupid can one be, not to know that we were taught everything beneficial for our sustenance, from one source, God.

I am certain my statement was to illustrate that the Bible is not a how to do it all in one manual starting at A and ending with Z!

    3. Vj ~ If the Bible is not such a revelation, don't you think that there could be one that is?

God the creator of the Heavens and the Earth according to the writings of the book of Genesis, is our truth in origin.

    4. Vj ~ Perhaps your truth, but, how would you know it is the truth when you have chosen not investigate any further than the Bible? Besides whatever is created must perish including your heaven.

That truth is in knowing who God is.

    5. Vj ~ You believe who God is, you don't know who is god. A God who breeches his attributes and the laws of nature cannot be called God.

What is fragmented here is your education on sources of authority.

    6. Vj ~ It is the dark history (inquisitions and persecutions) of the Christian church my source. It shows that early Christians were barbarians and it was not Christianity that brought them out of it. If it were, it would have done that in the beginning or prevented it.

Regardless of the source, how can you make such an assumption without first acknowledging that those sources had some effect, even if the effect was in your mind a negative one?

    7. Vj ~ There are imprecision among scientists as there are contradictions in your bible, how can any sensible person not have doubts on any subject pertaining to archealogical discoveries to prove the bible right or wrong?

"If you do not understand the source how would you know that you are not being misled by the fortune?"
Kathy responds, propably because I am not looking for a fortune to be told.

    8. Vj ~ You could have fooled me, but isn't the Bible all about telling? Jesus said that he is the way..and you follow like a dunce without reasoning that Krishna, Mohammad and Buddha said the same to those who follow them also.

What I seek for and address in studies is, who am I?

    9. Vj ~ Really! And who are you Kathy?

I find it, when I understand where it all began.

    10. Vj ~ Hinduism is the oldest (4,000 yrs) religion in the world, a fact, Christianity (2,000 yrs) which one is more likely to tell you where it all began?

There is no gold at the end of a rainbow,

    11. Vj ~ Isn't that what Christians all expect to have in the end - salvation handed to them without any effort?

What a seeker finds when searching the truth has more value than any fortune known to a non-believer.

    12. Vj ~ Wouldn't you call one a seeker of truth, when one has investigated all religions?

A seeker finds peace that benefits his life here along with the hope in a fulfilled promise of a time yet to come.

    13. Vj ~ I beg to differ. A seeker finds peace that benefits his or her life here by true knowledge with no hope of relying a mere promise (contradictory) of a time yet to come where there are so many doubts.

"I doubt it, since the bible is the product of three different major religions, each opposing each other, which one is truly speaking of whom God really is?"
Kathy responds , exactly where do you get this stuff? How do you arrive at this conclusion?

    14. Vj ~ Had you bothered to check into my site before rattling you would not have been so surprised. Even an idiot can tell the difference since they claim one God but three different heavens.
