Here is what you'll need: 
         - white cloth (enough to make a 
           small pouch)
         - 1 white "virgin" candle (a new candle        
           that has not been used)
         - Mistletoe
         - Mugwort
         - Sweetgrass
         - Sage

     Make a small pouch, sew three sides together 
and leave one side open (this is where you will 
stuff the herbs/plants). Chant the following, while 
filling the pouch with the herbs/plants:

       
May the Sacred Divine

Keep safe me and mine

May the Lady of the Moon

Attend my rite in moment's soon

May the Lord of the Sky

Attend my rite in a moment's sigh

May the Watchtowers of the East, South, 
West and North

Attend my rite and let their protective 
powers spill forth

May the Old One's who have gone before

Attend my rite forevermore

Hear my humble plea

I ask for your protection, please send it to me!

    Keep chanting this till the pouch is 
filled the Mistletoe, Mugwort, Sweetgrass and 
Sage.  Once filled, sew the fourth side of the 
pouch shut, while still chanting.  Place the 
pouch on the alter, light the white candle.  
"Smudge" the pouch through protective incense, 
visualize the protection radiating from the pouch.  
Keep chanting until you feel the peek of power and 
release the energies into the universe.  Remember 
to strongly visualize while chanting.  Let the candle 
burn itself out, make sure it is in a safe place and 
won't get tipped over.

    
     Smudge yourself with sage or sweetgrass 
before you go to bed and when you first wake 
up. Smudge each morning and evening. Depending 
on the size of pouch that you made, if it is 
small enough it can be carried on you, in a 
shirt pocket for example.  The pouch can also 
be placed within your vehicle for added 
protection while travelling.  If this pouch 
is made by/for a woman, remember to inform them 
not to carry the pouch if they are on their 
"Moon Time," this is because of the Sweetgrass 
that is within the pouch.  This is due to the 
cleansing process the woman is going through.

     Everyone is familiar with the traditional 
four directions.  However,there are three other 
directions that are sometimes not thought of 
very often.  There's the traditional East, South, 
West and North.  Then there is Above, Below and 
Within. Here is a simple prayer, that can be 
adapted to your needs, whether it be for protection 
or healing or if you just want to connect to the 
beauty of life.

          Beauty to the East of Me

          Beauty to the South of Me

          Beauty to the West of Me
                
          Beauty to the North of Me

          Beauty Above Me

          Beauty Below Me

          Beauty Within Me

          Beauty Surrounds Me


     This is just one example of how this prayer/
chant/meditation can be used.  You can subsitute 
the word "Beauty" with "Healing" or "Protection" or 
whatever other word you want.  I have found this 
useful when doing healing rituals on myself, 
visualizing the healing energies coming from each 
of the seven directions and enveloping me.  I find 
it very peaceful, as well as powerful.

    You may also want to light a colored candle 
that is relevant to the mediation that you are 
doing.  For instance, if using the above prayer/
meditation for healing, you may light a green or 
blue candle.  For protection, you may light a white 
candle and so forth.  Remember to use "virgin" 
candles.

    Sadly, there are times, when someone tries to 
"send" something harmful to you (to cause pain,
misfortune etc).In such cases, there is a need to 
destroy/neutralize the negativity that was sent to 
cause you harm.  A dear friend, passed the following 
onto me.  I've added a bit of my own in it too.

          You'll need:

          1 Black "virgin" candle
          1 White "virgin" candle
          2 candle holders

    If you are right handed, hold the black candle 
in your right hand.  If you are left handed, hold 
the black candle in your left hand.

    Next, visualize all the negativity/harm/evil  
that was sent to you.  See this leaving you and 
being transferred into the black candle.  When you 
feel all of the negativity/harm/evil has been 
transferred into the black candle, place the candle 
in a candle holder.

     Next, take a shower or bath.  This helps to 
establish the cleansing process.  Then smudge the 
room/area in a clockwise direction.  Ask the Goddess 
& God, the four directions and the Old Ones to assist 
and protect you. (I am not including how to 
specifically call out to these powers, as I feel that 
each person has their own invocations/prayers etc 
and should use what feels best to them).

     Next, burn Frankincense on a charcoal block.  
Annoint the white candle with Sandlewood essential 
oil.  The white candle represents protection and 
purification. Light the white candle, then light the 
black candle.  The flame on the black candle 
represents the harm that was sent to you. 
  
     Let the candles burn down to nothing.  (You 
do not have to constantly watch the candles burn, 
but make sure they are in a safe place and won't 
tip over, a bathtub works well for this).  Once 
the black candle has melted down to nothing and 
the flame has died.  That means the harm/evil/
negativity sent to you has also died. 
 
     Next, wrap the remenents of the black 
candle in white ribbon/cloth and "Bind" it. 
Remember not to actually "Bind" the person(s)
who had sent you the harmful energy.  Instead, 
"bind" the harmful/negative act/energy itself.  
That way no harm will come to those who sent it 
to you.  Let Karma deal with them. Say the 
following:

            I bind you with peace
            I bind you with light
            I bind you with love
            May you bring me no more harm
            So mote it be
 
    Then bury the article in a clean area of 
land, and be sure not to bury it on your property. 
(Remember that "Binding" is somewhat a grey area.  
Do not use binding to manipulate people or to cause 
any harm.  Remember that you are not actually
binding a specific person, rather the negative energy
that was directed to you.  If the binding is done
properly (again, not to bind a person, but the 
negative energy directed at you)I see no harm.  
Remember the Three Fold Law when attempting to 
bind anything, for whatever you do will be returned 
three times back to you. Be Wise!)

     
     There are many meanings for various colors.  
When using cloth, candles, cords, ribbon, thread, 
ink and so forth, keep in mind the importance of 
color.  Here is a brief listing of a few colors and 
how they can be used.  Keep in mind, that this list 
is not complete, experiment and find out what works 
for you.  

BLUE:
     Calmness, healing, tranquility, wisdom, 
     patience, good health, tuning into the 
     water elements

GREEN:
     Physical healing, fertility, luck, money, 
     faerie magik, tuning into earth elements 
     (plants, etc)

YELLOW/GOLD:
     Intelligence, attraction, persuasion, 
     divination, studying, alertness, youthfulness, 
     alertness, memory, attuning to the God/Sun.
PINK:
     Friendship, love, peace, nuturing, honor, 
     morality, 
     
ORANGE:
     Success, attraction, justice, ambition, 

PURPLE:
     Spiritual power, phychic power, serious 
     physical healing, ability, third eye, 
     intuition, divination

BLACK:
     Protection, repelling, binding, absorbing

WHITE: 
     Purity, protection, purification, sincerity, 
     strength

SILVER:
     Divination, astral projection (soul travelling), 
     attuning Lunar events and the Goddess.

COPPER:
     attune to the God. Healing (especially arthitis).

     There are times when we are sometimes faced 
with an urgent financial need.  This is one spell 
I do not use often, and only use when I am in a 
sincere financial bind. 

     This may not work well for those of you with 
short hair.  I have long hair and this part of the 
spell.  If you have short hair or no hair, try 
subsituting green thread/yarn (use natural fibre 
thread/yarn, such as cotton/wool).  To see if the 
yarn is real wool or synthetic, burn a bit of it 
on the end.  If it forms a hard little nub, then 
it is synthetic.

     Brush/comb your hair.  The strands of hair 
that are on your comb/brush, is what you'll be using.  
When you have at least nine or more long strands of 
hair, you are ready to begin.  Begin chanting the 
following or similar words:
    

          Dear Lord and Lady,

          Please send money to me.

          Please send money to me,

          Dear Lord and Lady.

          Let the money come in an innocent way,

          Let harm come to none,for fulfilling 

          this need for which I pray.

                          
     As you chant the above, rub the stands of hair 
between your palms, to form a sort of cord.  Keep 
chanting, while doing the following. Next, tie nine 
knots onto this hair cord.  The following is a sloppy 
diagram to show you where to tie these knots on the 
hair cord. The numbers represent where the knots 
should be tied.


      ---1---6---4---8---3---7---5---9---2---


     Tie the first knot at the furthest left side of 
the hair cord, the second knot at the furthest right 
side of the hair cord, the third knot in the middle 
and so on.
  
     As you tie these knots, keep chanting.  
Visualize your financial need being met, through 
positive ways, such as finding a stash of money 
you forgot about, winning a small sum, but not 
through inheritances etc(as this is destructive, 
you don't want someone to die, in order for you 
to meet your financial needs, which is why the 
wording of the chant used is so important).

    Once you have tied the nine knots in the 
appropriate order, keep chanting and visualizing 
debts paid in full etc.  Then, either bury the 
hair cord, burn it or throw it into the wind.  
Then make an offering to the Lord and Lady, by 
either burying an apple, pour some milk/wine into 
the ground, bury a bit of tobacco etc.
  
     As you prepare and leave your offering of 
thanks, say out loud that you are thankful for 
their love, assistance, help, guidence etc and be 
sincere when doing so!
  
     This has always worked for me, whether it be
finding or winning money, or finding out that the 
company actually OWES you money instead of you owing 
them, an unexpected financial gift in the form of a 
birthday gift etc.  But please do not use this or 
any other spell for greedy gains, use these type of 
spells for urgent and sincere matters.  Do not abuse 
the Powers that be, they are there to help, assist 
and guide us whenever possible.  Abusing them for 
greedy gains, only hurts you in the end.  Be Wise!

***This Healing Spell may be adapted for Human use, 
it is not restricted to pets. In the blank area's 
insert the name of the one who the spell is for***

1 dark purple candle, brown or a blue candle
1 white candle
1 black candle
Healing incense 

Cast a circle in the usual manner. If your pet 
can not be in the circle with you, use something 
symbolic of your pet (color, picture, tags, their 
name written on a blank piece of white paper etc). 
Annoint the purple/brown/blue candle with a healing 
oil. Hold the black candle in your hands, and 
visualize the sickness being absorbed into the black 
candle, being fully transferred from your pet into 
the black candle. Place candles in candle holders.

Light the white candle first, then the purple/brown
or blue candle and then the black. Then, hold your 
pet (if this is not possible, hold a colar or 
picture etc of her/him) close to your heart. Then, 
chant the following, while visualizing your pet 
making a full recovery. Chant the following:


"Lord & Lady, please send healing energies 
towards ____'s way.
Let his/her health be renewed day by day.
From this sickness, let ______ fully recover.
Around ______, let no illness hover.
Ease ______'s pain,
Let health be her/his gain."

Keep chanting and visualizing for as long as you 
can. On the final repetition, after the last line, 
say:
 
"So mote it be." 

Let the candles burn themselves out. This can be 
repeated as often as possible. Remember that we 
also have the responsibility to seek medical care 
for our pets who are stricken with illness, this 
spell should be used in conjunction of that 
specialized care.

1 white candle
1 pink candle
Offering to departed pet (milkbone, favorite toy, 
carrots, tuna etc)

This is basically, just a simple prayer to the 
deities and an offering to the departed/dying pet. 
Cast the circle, light the white candle and the 
pink candle. Then say the following: 

"If __________'s time is near,
Lord & Lady, welcome him/her to your breast, 
even though I shed many a tear.
Bless my humble friend,
The one who blessed me with their devoted 
love to the end.
Although my heart is near to broken,
_________ please accept this meager token. 

(milkbone, tuna etc,is placed in the offering 
plate)

My love for you is ever strong,
For you, my heart will always long.
In time my heart will heal.
Pain I will no longer feel.
But my soul will always remember and know,
The bond we shared, the love you've bestowed."


Let the candles burn for as long you wish. Bury 
the offering outside in an area where it will 
not be disturbed. If you choose, you may burn a 
white votive candle each day, for as long as you 
want, in remembrance of the departed one.
