My Biology Page has grown a lot, since I first started it. To make it easier for my visitors to find what's been updated, I've started this log. From now on, I'll list what I've done to the site. . . that is I'll try to remmember to list it. In any case, this is a good place to look, if your wondering what's new or changed.
Uploaded a page of new molecules to adopt
uploaded an even more revised version of adopt-a-molecule page, as well as an updated BioRythms.
revised the adopt-a-molecule page, as well as adding link to the new Adopt-a-molecule club.
Still having trouble with waterbridge file size...results in timeout when downloading. I'm reworking it.
Added a link on Great Women in Science and Mathematics page to a debate on the current and future status of women in science (hosted by journal Nature)
Uploaded a new version of "Can you get AIDS from a mosquito" page. Due to technical problems, I've had to move my virtual world "waterbridge" to another server. I've uploaded a small world with a link to the new location. You can find it on my VRML page.
Added a new webring.
Added a Yahoo! club for My Biology Page, and added a quick link to it from the main page.
Updated BioRythms today.
Uploaded an updated and reworked (code-wise) BioRythms page.
Updated my "who Am I" page. Now that I'm a new mom, my life is very different. Some of my new interests will probably start showing up in my site.
Added a link to my Adopt-A-Molecule page.
Updated the web design resources page, and added a link on my Adopt-a-Molecule page.
Added a link to Cosmo Home Space Pavilion, where my "Waterbridge" is featured, from my VRML page. Behind the scenes...I'm still playing around with VRML.
I've been playing around with VRML again, and added a little sculpure to my VRML page. I call it "Pointed Shrine".
Added a new page to the Great Women in Science and Mathematics part of the site. This time I've uploaded a first draft on Hypatia of Alexandria.
I joined a new web ring: Women in Science Webring. It's on my webrings page.
added a link to the Adopt-a-Molecule page, and uploaded a reworked bookmarks page.
Updated my BioRythms page today. I've been doing a lot of cleaning up code all through the site...it's taking some time, but a lot of work is going in when I can sit long enough to get anything done.
Uploaded a completely reworked Bookstore, and updated links throughout the site.
I completely reworked the HTML code for Great Women in Science and Mathematics page. The code's now a LOT more clean, and should load faster...not to mention adjust to screen size. Also added some links to Amazon.com for books in the recomended reading list on the page.
Updated Great Women in Science and Mathematics page, and added a new page to it. This one's on Ada Byron Lovelace.
My Biology Page just won a great award! So I updated the awards page.

updated links page, and basic up-keep throughout the site.
Updated BioRythms page, and added a form for suggestions to it.
Updated Notebook page.
Updated main page
Updated web design resources page, by adding a link to a cool color cube tool. Been working on other general upkeep on the site. Added a new entry to Biorythms page. Updated Waterbridge VRML file recently.
Updated Web Design resources page. Did a little work on my resume page.
I've been doing a lot of work on the site, but I've fallen behind on logging all the updates, lately...oops. Well, updated BioRythms page today. And other stuff, mostly behind the scenes.
Updated BioRythms page
Added a "Quizzlet" to adopt-a-molecule page
Updated and did major renovation of BioRythms page(s).
gave Molecular recognition page, and Awards page face-lifts. And have done general maintance work on the entire site, the past few days.
added comments to links, and updated new links to page
a little fine-tuning of Links page, today.
Updated the navigation links at the bottom of most pages today.
Updated Links page.
I've been working on some new pages, having joined Amazon.com's associate's program. Now I can sell books from my own pages. I'll be keeping it releveant to the site (including refferences that I use), plus stuff I like to read for fun. If you want to check out the first try, it's here.
Added a couple resource links to Maud Menten page. More to come. Created a new biography, and linked it to Great Women in Science page. This one's on Marie Curie
I added a couple new molecules, and a bubbling test-tube, for adoption on the Adopt-a-Molecule page. Also did some general reworking of the page...all in the name of clarity.
My nose is deep in an Italian/English dictionary these days. I'm volunteering my HTML skills to MAMI (the Italian branch of La Leche Legue...please forgive my spelling). It's a worthy cause, in my book. Yikes, that may be the most political I've ever gotten on this site.
Updated Links page. Made some changes to Einstein page. Linked up the first, and still short, page on a Great Woman in Science. This one's on Maud Menten. In the works, is a what her "Michaelis-Menten Equation" is all about.
Updated 'BioRythms' page.
Just got back from Europe. Had a GREAT time, but I'm awfully glad to be home. Anyway, that's why there haven't been any updates for a while; I haven't been here to do them.
I gzipped my "waterbridge" VRML file, so it should be a little more manageable now. Sorry I didn't do that in the first place.
I've done a little updateing to the my web design resources page: some new links.
There is now a forum for Einstein page
updated 'BioRythms' page.
Well, it had to happen. My Biology Page has just gone truly virtual, as if being a web page wasn't virtual enough. I've been toying around with VRML for a while now, and finally put something up on this site. There's no biology in it. . .yet ;-)
I'm in the middle of giving the Great Women in Science and Mathematics page a major face-lift, making it more consistent with the design of the rest of MyBiologyPage.
updated BioRythms page.
Updated BioRythms page. Added some graphics to Adopt-a-molecule page. Working on getting all the business side of the web-ring smoothed out. As usual, lots of behind the scenes stuff that isn't ready to lauch yet.
Replaced the index page with what was previously the "main" page. Added a new molecule (Oxygen) to adopt, and it's pretty cute, if you ask me.
I've been working on some graphics that I'm going to add to my "free graphics" area. They will be ready to use on web pages, as opposed to the NASA pix I've presented as my Fav's. As soon as I get them into an HTML document for easy access, I'll upload the page to my site. I'm sure you're just holding your breath ;-)
The major problem will be adding a link from the main graphics page. I'm having some serious conflicts with MSIE4.01 and my system, and this is interfering with my ability to use the wysiwyg I used to create the free graphics page. what does this mean? It means I can't edit the free graphics page (among a couple others like "BioRythms") untill I can get a product from microsoft work...or I rewrite the code "by hand". Well, that's just what happens when Microsoft invests in a company whose product you like using. Mind you, I don't mind coding by hand, I just hate to re-code work that I had already done (especially since I cheated and used a wysiwyg the first time)
It's Saturday! :-) I added another molecule to the new Adopt-a-Molecule page, and created a webring for "adopters". Some other stuff adjusted around the site.
My Biology Page has boldly stepped into the world of cyber-pet adoptions...at least tentatively ;-)
I've created a new page called Adopt a Molecule from My Biology Page. The first molecule up for "adoption" is glucose..although in the graphic it just says "sugar". I'm looking forward to having some fun with this, and if it promotes science, all the better...after all, that's the whole point of My Biology Page.
I've also done some minor adjustments to the Women in Sciences scripted page, but I'm still haveing problems making it work in some browsers.
some changes to index and awards pages
I've updated my sitefights spirit and wall pages a little, today...I'm still working behind the scenes ;-)
Cooked up a few more linker buttons, and added them to the Wall "addition" to my Site Fights spirit page. Also a lot of work behind the scenes. As soon as I sort out all my file problems, there will be a lot of new uploads...in the mean time I'm in an editing nightmare.
I've been away on "vacation" and haven't had access to a computer. Yes...I was suffering from withdrawal. But, I had my trusty new digital camera, and started learning how to use it. So, keep a look-out for the appearance of images from my trip to Mexico City. . . where will the giant Olmec head appear first? ;-)
I made some minor adjustments to the main page today. I've been working on getting the applets to work on the BioRythms page, and to stabilize the script on my experimental women in science page. . .still working on it. Also, i'm trying to set up one of the cool toys geocities has provided (the Photo album), but I haven't had much luck getting it to work. I'm also working on some new content. So, there will probably be an explosion of new stuff, once I'm ready to launch it all :-)
I've done some work on the Wall--off of my site fights spirit page. I added several buttons that can be used for linkers back to My Biology Page. I'm still working on updating "BioRythms" but haven't uploaded the updates yet...so, you can't tell the difference yet ;-)
I've updated my sitefights spirit page. Added a song to the Rainy Days song list, in "BioRythms". . .
The day is only beginning, but so far I've updated my Site Fights Spirit Page. . . . I've also updated "Biorythms", and added an archive page (the main page was gettin too long), and an alterntive page with the contents of the lists of songs and artists in those applets that I've been having so much trouble getting to work. On Webrings page, I added code for a new Web ring I was invited to join (the Black Hole Web ring).
I've had the flue so I haven't been very good about updating. Mostly, I've done some readjustments lately. I trimmed down the index page, in an attempt to make it faster loading. I also played around with a "spirit page" for The Site Fights, and started building a "wall" of buttons for the "Fights".
Updated my resume a bit. I've recently become webmaster of my honor society, so I updated my resume to include that information.
Updated BioRythms, and added a few buttons to my sitefights spirit page. And no, I haven't solved my scripting problems yet. This distresses me. If you have any constructive suggestions on how to solve my scripting problems, I would be glad to hear them.
Did a little work on the content of "WhoAmI" page. Still having trouble with applets on "BioRythms" page.
My site has joined a new webring: Albert einstein and his works webring. I'm still trying to get the applets on my "BioRythms" page to work.
I edited the content of my Einstein page, somewhat. I guess I made it a little more personal.
Today I've done some work on the BioRythms page, and added a new feature to it. There will be scrolling lists (still rather short) of songs that I recommend for Rainy Days, and other occasions. This page was also created, and will soon be linked from other pages in this site. I've linked to this site from the index page, and from the Main page of the site.
I'm having a lot of trouble getting the code to work for the scrolling segments on MS IE. It may be a while before I solve it. However, it works beautifully on my copy of Netscape : )
