Good Witch

The leaves are turning yellow, red and orange. The wind whispers through the tree branches in an eery voice. The chill night air sends shivers down our spines or was it that ghost that gave me oosebumps?

Every where we look we see all the halloween decorations that are up. Soon it will be time to put on our costume and venture out to trick or treat.

Doorbells will ring...doors will pen and little ghosts and goblins will be waiting for a treat!!

Everyone oves to make a jack-o-lantern!! First go find the biggest..roundest...orange pumpkin you can find. Sit down with mommy and daddy and decide how you want it to look. Always let mommy or daddy do the carving!! You can draw your own design or you can buy stencils for elaborate designs!! Some choose just to paint faces and/or add smaller pumpkins and summer squash just to be creative!! It doesn't matter how fancy it is...just that you practice safty first and have fun!!
With Halloween just around the corner, I thought if you participate in halloween and have children and/or grandchildren, this might be something you could share as you get your jack-o-lantern ready!!

A little girl asked her grandmother, "What's it like to be a Christian?" The grandmother replied, "It is like being a pumpkin. God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. Then he cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff. He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc., and then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see."

Finally!! You get to put your costumes on and go trick or treating!! If your costume is dark please wear a piece of illuminated tape and/or carry a light!! Be sure you go with your mommy or daddy or a responsible adult!! Stay in well lit areas!! Please only visit houses you are familiar with!! Even though the candy is tempting, wait until you get ack home and let mommy and daddy check it out!!
