Samuel W H Peoples was the son of John Peoples. He  married Mary Eave Overholser, Jan 7, 1830, in Carter County Tennessee. They had the following children: John Pickney, Nathaniel Kanneday Tipton, Mary A., Emily E., and David H. Peoples.

Nathaniel Kanneday Tipton Peoples, know as (Kan), brother to Mary A Peoples, Taylor. Kan had two cabinet shops in the Tennessee area, and was a maker of fine furniture.
