Welcome to Dave & Irene's HomePage!
PARDON OUR DUST - WE'RE ALWAYS REMODELING OUR PAGES!
Last updated 09 February 2002.
CHECK IT OUT!!! Out And About In Currituck is a small but mighty collection of my personal photos of our home county. Take a look!
A NEW AND IMPROVED More Fuzzy Faces PAGE! Meet Nefertiri, Squee, Rusty, Cicero, Kedzie and Lucky. Kitties galore! PLEASE NOTE: This page now has 14 photos and takes a minute or two to load. Please be patient! I'll probably split the page in two shortly.
FIRST AND FOREMOST THIS MONTH:
Please join us in wishing our beautiful granddaughter,Alana Renee, a
SAD NEWS . . . Three of our beloved fuzzies, Sasha , Cicero and Logan, crossed the Rainbow Bridge last year.
COMING SOON . . . If I can finagle the time, more kittypix! Now, the last time I said that, we were getting our house ready to put on the market, and the new kittypix never showed up. I'll try again (sigh).
ATTENTION N-SCALERS: Railmaster Dave is hard at work on a new layout. We intend to start a railpage as soon as the layout is worth looking at (and taking pictures of!).
ABOUT US . . . We've lived in Currituck County, North Carolina for the past 13 years with our son, Ted, and my mom, Joan.
I've had careers ranging from manufacturing intravenous tubing clamps to foreclosing on delinquent timeshare loans to being a newspaper columnist to managing a country convenience store specializing in tobacco products, Budweiser and nitecrawlers, and I now work as a public servant for the County of Currituck. Every now and again I dust off my manuscript and continue work on my book relating our adventures in Currituck, but don't look for it at your bookstore any time soon.
Dave is a master auto technician and service team manager employed at a major Chevrolet dealer in Virginia Beach, Virginia. While this is not as fascinating as writing a book or counting nitecrawlers, it is infinitely more lucrative. Ted is also employed at the same dealer as a retail parts salesman. All in the family!
We are into adopting homeless cats (obviously!), model railroading in N-Scale, railfanning in Virginia and West Virginia, and traveling anywhere else we can when there's time. We're both U.S. Navy Veterans and die-hard Conservatives.
We'd love to hear from you! Feel free to e-mail us about your pets, N-scale railroad or travels, particularly to the West Virginia mountains (but we're interested in anywhere you happen to go)! Photos are welcome, but please keep 'em small.
Thanks for stopping by!
