My husband Mike and I own 132 acres in central Georgia, USA
which has been in my family for almost 200 years. The place has been largely neglected for
the past 50 or so years, and we are in the process of renovating the old farm house and reclaiming
some pasture from the secondary growth forest that has overrun most of the place.
We'll have various links here for old house renovation, draft horses, goats, beef cows,
intensive grazing, and other stuff as it strikes our fancy. Stay tuned!
We plan to raise
Shire horses. The horses will
provide a source of income in the form of broke farm/riding horses and crossbreds for the
eventing and dressage markets. Eventually we will stand a Shire stallion; right now, though, we have one Shire mare. We have also added an .Appaloosa.
