Welcome to our family newsletter. I can't believe it's been well over a year and a half since I've updated this page! Between Yahoo not letting me login to my account and causing all kinds of havoc, and my busy life, I'm FINALLY getting this done. So...on with the updates!

~JUSTIN~

Justin will be 8 yrs. old in October, and will be starting 3rd grade in the fall. I can't believe my baby is getting SO big! He is now 50-1/2 inches tall. I'm not sure how much he weighs. Right now he is wearing size 8 clothing, but it won't be long until he's in the next size up. He is wearing a size 1 shoe now.

He enjoys watching Nascar racing. Matt Kenseth is his favorite driver, but he also likes Mark Martin, Jeff Burton, Kurt Bush, and Dale Jarret. He also really likes to watch Robot Wars and Battlebots. Actually, both the boys love these shows. I must admit that I enjoy watching with them. LOL!

Justin enjoys reading, playing outside and playstation games.

He is very good in math and continues to amaze us with his math skills.

His favorite color is still blue, but he also likes green.

~NICHOLAS~

Nicholas turned 4 yrs. old in March. He is still FULL of energy! He is still his brothers shadow. He loves playing with his brother and really looks up to him.

Nicholas has DEFINITE opinions about what he wants or doesn't want. You never have to worry about wether or not he wants something or doesn't want it! LOL!

He no longer needs speech therapy or occupational therapy. He's worked very hard to overcome his setbacks. We are SO proud of him!! He is still attending 2 half-days of preschool, and will continue to attend until next summer. Then he will start kindergarten!! Unbelieveable!!

His preschool teacher and teachers aide always tell me that he does good in class. The only trouble they have with him is when his schedule is not the way he's used to it being. But for the most part, he follows the class rules and is very polite. They all say he is a joy to work with.

Nicholas is now 40-3/4 inches tall. Again, I'm not sure of his weight. But he's somewhere around 40lbs. He is wearing size 4 clothes, but will soon be in a size 5. In some cases he's already wearing size 5. He wears size 11 shoes now....extra wide of course! OH! And he's been potty trained since I last updated, so no more diapers!!! YIPEE!!!

Nicholas still loves Winnie the Pooh and Tigger. He also still loves cars, trucks and Balls. He is actually pretty good at hitting a baseball with a bat. He also likes boats and airplanes. His favorite animal is a lion, although, he really likes Tigers too. His favorite color has been yellow, but he sometimes will say it's green or blue.

~CHRIS~

Chris still works at Home Depot in Carpet Sales. He's not crazy about it there, however, and comes home pretty stressed out. The pay he is getting is good though, so, unless another job with the same or better pay comes along, he'll have to stay.

He just got new glasses and I think they look GREAT on him. I helped him choose the frames. :) There's not really too much new with Chris, so not much to say there.

~DIANA~

There have been a few changes with me. I am now working as a substitute Instructional Assistant for our local school district. I only work 2 days a week, when I'm called in to work. That way Nicholas doesn't have to go into daycare. I LOVE my job! I get to work in Justin's school alot as well as Nicks preschool. It's great! There are perks to working at your kids schools. You get to know the teachers and other school figures MUCH better, and they you. It makes it easier to have a good repoire with them. Not to mention you always have a finger on the pulse of the school, so you always know what's going on there. I recently have enjoyed a WONDERFUL parent/teacher relationship with Justin's 2nd grade teacher. It was so great working with her, and keeping tabs on Justin and how he's doing. She would always give me a heads up WAY before anything became a major problem with him. It made parenting SOO much easier! We will miss working with her, but look forward to working with his next teacher.

I am still selling Scrap in a Snap Although not really to earn money, but to get scrapbooking supplies at a discounted price. This is the only "business" I'm involved in now. You are welcome to email me about it.

~CONCLUSION~

Well, that's about it here. Other big news is that we bought a house in Feb. 2001, and have really enjoyed owning our own home. I finally got to plant some tomatoes this year and have TONS of little tomatoes on the plants.

Our only other major purchase was another minivan. This time we bought a blue Mercury Villager. We really like having 2 sliding doors. It really helps with getting the kids in and out of the van.

We are hoping and praying that we can make another trip out to California next summer. Right now, it doesn't look possible.....but, you never know, alot can change in a year.

Well, again, that's what's been happening here in our little household. Maybe next time I won't wait so long to update this page! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by!
