Meet My Family!

Cricket Leigh
My Daddy bought Cricket so I would have someone to hunt with (not like I need anyone--but it made him feel good!) She spent the first 3 years of her life in a kennel, but she was  well trained by a sheriff who enjoys working with his birddogs. Now she has almost all the privileges I do (sometimes I think too much!)

Dani Jo
Dani Jo was born Jan. 1998. My Daddy’s hunting buddy gave her to him. I really didn’t care for her at first. But she kinda grows on you. I’m teaching her all about hunting birds!

Bodacious Beauregard
Beau was rescued from the Animal Shelter, too, and I can understand how he got there. He is the Hodini of the Dog  World!  He knows how to go over, under and through fences!  He suffers from hip displacia and hates the sound of a gun, thunder or fireworks.  He doesn’t care for bird hunting, but he’s obsessed with the squirrels and loves to eat fruits and veggies.  Read his story on the Furr Angels website.

Calli Ann
Calli has been here longer than the rest of us.
She says the place is going to the dogs,
but you sure don’t want to get on the wrong side of those
claws!   She’s a pretty good hunter, too. However,
Mom says she wishes Calli wouldn’t field dress
her game on the porch
Unfortunately Calli died Oct. 24, 2001.
She was 15 1/2 years old.  We miss her.

Bubba
Bubba is Dani's BIG brother.  Dad's friend, Ben,
decided he needed a new home where he could
romp and play with other dogs and he felt our
home was the best place for him.  Bubba really
likes to hunt, too.  When he's not hunting, he plays
with his collection of tennis balls.  I think he's bring one
with him on the hunting field if Dad would let him!

Peabody
This is mom's Arabian.  She really enjoys him and
he likes her, too.  He nods "yes" when you ask
him a question, especially for treats.

Kansas
Kansas is Dad's Tennessee Walking Horse.
He named him Kansas, because he bought
him  instead of taking us to Kansas to hunt
birds.Well, I forgave him for that.  He came
from a quail plantation so he's used  to hunting
birds.  That's makes him okay in my opinion.
