December 15, 1999: According to Billboard magazine from December 11, Modern Talking's "Alone" is the sixt best sold album in Germany between January and September of 1999. This information is featured in a special, focussing on the international potential of Germany's music industry. It is interesting to note that Modern Talking are not mentioned in any other way in this special.

December 12, 1999: According to Eventim.de a Modern Talking concert is scheduled for May 12, 2000 in Leipzig (Germany) at 8 p.m. in the "Messehalle 7" as part of the 2000 Modern Talking Tour. Tickets can be ordered on-line.

December 07, 1999: According to ModernTalking.com the video for the upcoming Modern Talking single "China In Her Eyes" will be taped in Hong Kong in the first week of January. The video will once again feature Eric Singleton. Definite concert dates for the next year are not yet scheduled.

November 27, 1999: According to ModernTalkin.com the brand new Modern Talking single "China In Her Eyes" will be released January 01, 2000. The new album is scheduled for February 28.

November 23, 1999: According to German newspaper "Berliner Kurier" from November 23, Modern Talking are scheduled to appear on German new year's night show "Silvester 2000 Party" live from Berlin on German TV channel "ZDF".

October 25, 1999: Modern Talking's "Brother Louie '99" is indeed available in the UK. However  the second week passed now since the release of the single without Modern Talking making it into the British Top 75 singles chart, which makes it rather unlikely that Modern Talking will be able to break into the British market with this single and the accompanying album "Back For Good".

October 25, 1999: A CD with the best ballads of Blue System entitled "When You Are Lonely" is currently offered by German membership-based mail order catalogue and retail store chain "Bertelsmann Club". The CD is not available to non-members. A general release of this rarity is not planned as of yet. The CD contains only old material. October 22, 1999: After peaking last week on Number 10 in the airplay Top 100 of Japanese radio station Zip FM, "You Are Not Alone" drops out of the Top 10 to number 16.

October 12, 1999: Thomas Anders gave an interview to German magazine "Gala" published October 12, 1999. According to this interview he does not want his girl friend Claudia Hess to start a career as did Dieter Bohlen's girl friend Nadja El Farrag (who is currently hosting the German TV show "Peep"). Thomas wants his girl friend to continue to be at his side and spend her spare time with him. He said he knows, that a career would make their relationship more difficult and he would have a real problem with her wanting to become a TV star like Nadja.

  October 10, 1999: "You Are Not Alone" finally also made its way into the Yugoslavian dance charts, this week on number 38.

October 05, 1999: While "You Are Not Alone" climbs to number 14 in the airplay Top 100 of Japanese radio station Zip FM, the song starts to become increasingly popular in Japan. For the first time since the comeback of Modern Talking they enter the all important Tokio Hot 100 at Number 88.

October 05, 1999: Bonnie Tyler reaches the Top 10 in Portugal with the album "Best Ballads", which also includes songs written and produced by Dieter Bohlen of Modern Talking (for instance "Against The Wind").

October 01, 1999: "You Are Not Alone" climbs up to Number 17 this week in the airplay Top 100 of Japanese radio station Zip FM.

  September 23, 1999: Final release date of the single "Brother Louie '99" and the album "Back For Good" in the UK: October 11.

  September 01, 1999: "You Are Not Alone" finally enters the airplay Top 100 of Japanese radio station Zip FM at No. 61.

  August 17, 1999: One and a half years after the release of "Back For Good", the album re-enters the charts in Greece at No. 33.

  August 09, 1999: The UK release of "Brother Louie '99" has been postponed for at least one month. Meanwhile the song already reached the Top 5 of the Pop oriented Dance Charts published by the trade magazine Music Week.

  July 05, 1999: After the late start of a TV advertising campaign in Norway for "Alone" on June 21, the album finally entered the Norwegian charts at Number 16.

  June 25, 1999: Modern Talking's "Brother Louie '99" with brand-new remixes will be released in the UK on August 02, 1999, obviously to promote "Back For Good". No rap versions are included. To find out more, check out the UK Section of the Modern Talking Scandinavian Infoclub.

  June 21, 1999: Modern Talking's "Sexy Sexy Lover" reached the MTV European Top 20. In the list published by MTV UK the video climbs in the second chart week to No. 17. The chart is based to a big degree on MTV video playlists but also on radio airplay and CD sales and always shows a different picture than the official European singles sales charts by Music & Media.

  June 21, 1999: according to Modern Talking and BMG at this point no further single release from the "Alone" album is planned, also no further appearances on German TV in promotion of  "Alone" are planned.

  May 27, 1999: The new Modern Talking single "Sexy Sexy Lover" enters the German charts at number 15, while the album "Alone" climbs back to Number 14.

  May 21, 1999: The first part of the Modern Talking world tour ended today in Luxemburg (Luxemburg).

  May 17, 1999: Modern Talking won a World Music Award at a ceremony held  in Monaco by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) for being the worlds' best selling German music group. The ceremony is broadcasted on May 20 at 8 pm Eastern Time on ABC in the USA and will also be broadcasted in the UK (ITV), Germany (Premiere) and many other countries around the globe. This marks the first TV appearance of Modern Talking in front of a major TV audience in the US.

  May 11, 1999: while "Alone" fails to reach the Top 10 in France for right now, "Back For Good" re-enters the French album charts at position 66.

  May 10, 1999: "You Are Not Alone" continues to be the number one in the dance charts  of Chile.

  May 09, 1999: The first part of the Modern Talking world tour with 10 dates in Germany and one concert in Luxemburg started today in my home town Rostock.

  May 01, 1999: "Alone" reached gold status in Argentina with sales in excess of 50.000 units, "Back For Good" is so far Platinum certified with sales in excess of 120.000 units.

  "Back For Good" album by Modern Talking finally had its domestic release in Canada on April 27, 1999.

  New Modern Talking single "Sexy, Sexy Lover", release date: May 17, 1999 in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden and Finland.

  April 1999: according to Music & Media trade magazine, worldwide sales of "Back For Good" reached the ten million mark.

  March 1999: "Your My Heart, Your My Soul '98" climbed as high as number two on the airplay Top 100 of Japanese radio station Zip FM.
