Links to Other Useful Sites
Here are some web resources to plan a trip, equip your bike, connect with other touring riders, get help on the road, or other goodies for the long range road rider. You won't find anything here specifically for racers, or off-roaders - you'll have to find one of the web sites dedicated to 'squids' and 'dirt-eaters'.
If you want information about a particular state's touring opportunities in the U.S., you can usually get the state's official webpage at http://www.state.STATEINITIALS.org where you must change the STATEINITIALS portion with the two-letter "official" state initials (as defined by the U.S. Postal Service). Example, if you wanted to get Virginia's state page, you'd go to http://www.state.va.org or use mt for Montana, vt for Vermont, and so forth. EXCEPTION: For Maryland, their state page is at http://www.mec.sailorsite.net/
