you can rebuild it???

it just needs a little paint and....

All the photos above were taken when I first bought the kombi. This is where I found it, in a field behind an old ladies house parked under a grove of pine trees, where it had been for years. It seems that the previous owner had asked permission to leave it there for a couple of weeks. He had supposedly just had the engine rebuilt and for some reason neede to park it. Along comes dan and convinces the lady that she is not responsible to keep the bus after all these years and I would be happy to remove the eyesore and even give her some cash for it. That was about 4 years ago. The bus sat covered in my yard for 2 years and when I needed a tarp....so it has sat uncovered for a couple of years now. It is a bit worse for wear but not much. Now it is time to consider parting with it, as I dont expect to get to do anything with it for at least a few more years. So here it is. As you can see the nose is pretty darn ugly (so is the whole bus) and as Ive told many folks, it comes with a history (jaded as it may be) What do you expect for $300.00.

UPDATE - I have taken a deposit and expect the kombi to be picked up by it's new owner in Pennsylvania within a couple of weeks.

These interior shots are why I call it "The Kombi From Hell". Seriously it just needs a little cleaning up.

Well at least it makes a pretty planter.

Here are some pix just after I dragged the kombi back out of the woods in my backyard on 9/12. It has been sold and the new owner will be driving up from Pittsburgh to pick it up in a coupla weeks.
