Jon & Baby Bear came to live with us when they were about a week old.  There was actually 3 of them, but the one sister passed away due from complications of pneumonia on the first night.  EJ says that's why I became so passionate about them...Why I wanted them to survive so badly.  I don't know, I only know that I knew from the very beginning they were going to live with us, as our children.

They were found in an old fishing boat.  The boat was sinking & it was wet & cold outside.  No one knows what happened to their mother.  But, as much as I hate knowing that she probably died, I'll never regret having the opportunity to raise these two beautiful, loving & generous babies.  Between them & Jazzy, I believe I know what having children is all about.

When they were kittens, Jon's favorite thing to do was eat.  Once he got a good hold on the bottle, he would throw his little arms clear up in the air.  EJ said he must have been thinking, "Oh, thank you God!"  I don't know, but it was something to see!  Baby Bear would have to be cuddled in my hands & she always wanted to either put one of her paws on my face or I had to put her little body up against my face.

As adults, Baby Bear sleeps with me every night.  She cuddles under the blankets with me or up by my face.  When she's ready to get out of the room to go potty or get something to eat or drink, she very gently begins grooming my forehead with her tongue.  When Baby Bear purrs, her entire body vibrates.

Jon still loves food.  But, he's also a very big baby.  He likes to be carried around the house & he'll walk up to you & place his front paws on your legs & "dig" to be picked up.  Very similar to a 2 or 3 year old child.  And, once he's picked up, he likes to bury his face in your face.

They are both very affectionate furr-children.  We are very fortunate to have them in our lives.
