JimJim & Courtney are littermates. We got them both from the vet's, but not at the same time.
I was still missing Jimmy very much & we happened to go into the vet's. There, in a cage with a sister (who later turned out to be Courtney) & a brother, was this little, identical to Jimmy, kitten! EJ looked at me & said, "You want to take Jimmy home?" He was 6 weeks old.
Several months later...about 5 months, to be exact, we were back at the vet's picking up cat food. The receptionist said, "You remember that little tiger kitten you took? Well, his sister is still back there. If she doesn't get adopted soon, we're going to have to take her to the local shelter. We have too many kittens back there." That's all it took. I went in the back, picked her up out of the cage & away we went. She had been in a cage for so long, her whiskers were almost completely gone! That was 2-1/2 years ago & they are just now starting to grow in normally!
JimJim & Courtney are really close, although they weren't at first. JimJim acted as if he really resented her coming to live with him. After about a year, he accepted her & cuddles with her now. Courtney adores JimJim & always has.
They are both very vocal cats. JimJim will hold actual "conversations" with you. Courtney will, too, but her "speaking" is more squeaking than meows!
