Name: Jeffrey Thomas
Nicknames: Jeffy, Pooh Bear, Scooter
Birthdate: March 4, 1995
Fav. Toys: Laser light, cat fishing pole, plastic milk carton rings, furry mice
Weight: 14 Lbs.

Jeffy was brought home from our veterinarian's.  He was one of about 15 yellow male tabbys.  I brought him home to play with Jazzy (see below).  She was just tiny, at about 3 weeks of age, & had no one to play with but EJ & myself.  Jeffy was only 6 weeks old, so he seemed perfect.  I hadn't planned to keep him.  But, EJ took one look at him & said, "He's staying."

He got his nickname Pooh Bear because he went thru a stage when he was a kitten where he would poop ANYWHERE but the litter box!  This went on for about 2 months, then it just stopped as suddenly as it started.  Thank God!  Ha!

Jeffy is really friendly & he's always adored kittens.  If I make a "mew" sound, he always comes running at full speed!  Jeffy can also jump REALLY high!  We've guessed it to be approximately a 6' jump straight up!

Jazzy is our first hand-raised child.  I had hand-raised other kittens, but none quite like Jazzy!

Jazzy was given to us to try to save when she was only 2 DAYS OLD!!  She looked like a very small black & white mouse.  Her eyes were sealed shut & because she hadn't been stimulated, she was swollen & therefore thought to be a baby boy.

After a couple days of eating & being stimulated so she could go potty, it was discovered she was a little girl.  For some reason, from the very first day we had her, EJ's voice would cause her to try & lift her little head & look around.  Since her eyes weren't open yet, EJ would cradle her in one of his hands & just talk to her.  She would purr so loudly...& for such a tiny kitten!

Some people were getting ready to tear down an old shed in their back yard.  While they were cleaning it out they kept hearing tiny "mews."  Finally, one of them figured out where the "mews" were coming from & investigated.  They found her wrapped in old, wet rags, crying her heart out.  No one knows who or where her biological mother is, or what happened to her.

Jazzy is very healthy (knock on wood) & spoiled rotten!  Hence, the nickname Princess.

To this very day, she is still very bonded with her Daddy.  She loves Mommy, too...but Daddy is her Hero.
