Wohoo, quite a lot has changed since this page was last updated so I'll have to fill you in a bit. Well it's nearly a year since I finished my lovely student life, and I've been working for The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) for about 12 months or so where I am training to be an Environment Protection Officer. It's pretty good but as a result I am being sent all over the country to find out what they do. There's going to be some worn shoe leather by the end of all this.
So far I have been to East Kilbride, Dumfries, Lochgilphead, Edinburgh, Stirling and Perth, and I'm now just starting a 5 month stint in Stirling, although a different office. Then it's Aberdeen in the winter. Something to look forward to there, weather might be a bit different though.
Before the whole job thing I had been at University of Glasgow doing the wonderful Environmental Chemistry , which was known as "Save the world" Chemistry by some of my more sarcastic friends but it was actually pretty good stuff. Now I've moved on to a real job, so its getting up early, dressing smartly and all that jazz. No more sleeping till noon for me.
The things that I like are a) the Mutton Birds, which is a fantastic band from NZ, b) Playstation 2 which is an excellent piece of technology indeed and 3) Football. I support Celtic (treble champions this year) and Clyde ( the mighty Bully Wee). Other things I rate highly are "People Like Us" it's pretty stonking TV for me, as well as 24, West Wing and old classics like Monty Python and Red Dwarf.
The things I don't like are cheese,
Mondays, Mornings and rubbish TV. Lots of other things too, but
these are the main ones for the moment.
I am 24 years old and live in a place called Chryston which is just east of Glasgow. It ranks up there with Grimsby and Cheadle as places of immense wonder and unending excitement. Here is a map of where I live with a big arrow at where I live!
