Why are there so many 2 for 1 deals in restaurants these days?
Do the owners hate me or what?
I guess there must be people who buy them.
Tell me, what is it they've got I haven't got?
(Apart from a partner)
So I go eat at McDonalds
Where you can get food just for one.
I'd eat a Happy Meal, if I thought it would work.
Tell me, why is life no fun?
Why are there so many 2 for 1 deals at cinemas these days?
It really isn't fair.
I watch couples come to see a show
And I just stare and stare and stare.
So I buy my single ticket
And I sit and watch the film.
It's a happy movie but I just don't care;
The couple behind me are making me ill.
Why are there so many 2 for 1 deals on public transport these days?
Please tell me, I don't know.
There are couples waiting to buy them,
See them standing in a row.
So I buy my Travel 10.
Nobody will use it but me.
A girl bought me a bus ticket once,
I still have it, you can see.
Ticket for 1,
Table for 1.
I never seem to fit.
Ticket for 1,
Table for 1.
I think my head will split.
