RAISE THE PRAISE
We're called to praise and glorify our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. Now, there are several ways in which you can praise the Lord, but one of the most common ways is through praise and worship songs. In this section of the Main Stage, I'll be featuring the lyrics to a favorite Praise and Worship song. What's the purpose of this, you might be asking. Well, I'm hoping that this will remind some of you who may not find time throughout the busy day to give the praise that's due to God, and also I just like praise and worship music and can't imagine not including it in my music page. :)
Let's raise the praise, and give God the glory He deserves!
This month's featured praise song is "There's Something About That Name". I think this was the very first worship song I ever learned...at the age of two. My dad taught it to me, and we used to sing it all the time. Now it means more to me because I can understand how awesome the name of the Lord is...I can understand that there really is something about Jesus' name. It holds so much power, so much truth, love, peace, joy, healing, and victory...It truly is above all other names. .

What's new in the music world?? Here you'll find out! I'll keep you updated with some of the new albums coming out from several of the recording companies...as well as other music news you just might want to know. Also, if any of you out there know of any important music news that I've forgotten or skipped over, if you send it to me, I'll be glad to add it to the list of news!
1) With summer upon us, several Christian artists/groups are taking the opportunity to chat with their fans. On July 6th, starting at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, Musicforce.com will host a chat with Phil Joel, from the Newsboys. To find out more about this chat, click here! 3) Larue is making news, and not just with their music! The brother and sister team have written up a petition for abstinence to be taught in all public schools as the only form of 100% safe-sex. But they need 250,000 signatures before they can submit this petition to Washington D.C. PLEASE, visit this link and at least take a look at what they have to say. If it's something you want to help with, you can print out the petition and get people to sign it, then send it back to Larue. They've done alot of research and have statistics to prove their point...but the bottom line is that God has a plan, and we as Christians need to stand up for that plan. Thanks! Click here!
