Click me! We escape the regular YS webpage look so I can tell you a bit about myself. Yes, tis me, Help, yet again. I'd like to explain my motives behind this webpage and just chat a little. (Zounds! I am in the middle of reading an awesome fanfic.) Well let's see what I can tell you about myself.

For this webpage I am going by the name 'Help' and Tranquility Whim. (neither of them are my real name though.) I'm 17 and have enjoyed the music of The Beatles since...gosh, I was practically raised on them. But I didn't actually get *into* The Beatles untill these past couple years, when I watched my first Beatles movie, "A Hard Day's Night." I probably watched that movie because of The Monkees, since they were based on that movie. After that though I took a trip to the local video rentals and rented "Yellow Submarine" and "Help."

"Help" I liked. It was funny, had a cool storyline. And you gotta dig the The Beatles pad. (Gee, I sound like someone right out of the '60's.) And of course there was the song of the same name. I love that song, it's probably my favorite Beatles song, because I can relate to it. When I was younger I was more of a loner, now that I'm older I have come to realize that I really need my friends, and I'd like them to know that. That's basically what the song says. And I'm greatful to find a song like that.

I've got a hole in me pocket. Now, "Yellow Submarine." So far my favorite Beatles movie. I simply love cartoons. I have for years. I draw them too. But this cartoon was something else. The animation was different, intriguing. The colors were psychadelic. The creatures were imaginative. And it was simply just funny. I can't even count how many times I've seen it.

But I could never find much on it, even on the net. So when the movie was rereleased August 14th, I was bouncing off the walls. I had to get it that exact day. (Almost didn't 'cause my mom was sick. Good thing for fathers!) Plus it was gonna have the "Hey Bulldog" scene which I had never seen before. And once again I loved it.

Now I hope to collect more Yellow Submarine memoribilia. I already have the movie, '69 and '99 YS albums, a balloon, a poster, a T-shirt and that's about all I can afford right now.

And since I couldn't find much about the movie on the internet, I decided to try and make the best Yellow Submarine website that I could with the resources that I had. I'm just sad that I can't get screen grabs from the movie. (Anyone have that ability?? I really, REALLY want some.) So for pictures I either have to scan something, or draw it. And pausing the movie trying to draw a picture as quickly as I can before the freeze frame wears off, is not my idea of fun. And that especially makes it hard to whole scenes. I've have not yet tried to do one..maybe someday when I have a lot of time on my hands.

Well, I guess that's about all the information that I have for you right now. I appreciate you taking the time to stop by this site as I have been working as hard as I can on it. (Between school and such related things.) I hope you drop by again, thanks!

My Beatle and Beatle related memories
Event Memory
Driving in the car with my dad. I was young. I don't remember where we were going, but I remember looking at the covers of the 1962-1966 and 1967-1970 albums. As both pictures were taken from the same location, but at different times. I was like, "are those really the same guys?"
Listening to the radio Even before I really got into the Beatles I could usually identify them while listening to the radio. Well one day, I think while doing homework, "When I'm Sixty-Four" came on the radio. I had never heard it before and proceeded to argue with myself, "Is that The Beatles? That can't be The Beatles. That's The Beatles!" I continued to do that untill the DJ said that it was indeed The Beatles.
When I listen to "If I Fell" Whenever I hear that song I remember a day that I had just checked out a music book with Beatles songs in it. I tried playing that song and had it stuck in my head. My mom and I stopped of at Meijer on the way home, and I heard "If I Fell" on their music system. And ever since it reminds me of that day at Meijer. 0.o
When I listen to "Norweigian Wood" Whenever I hear this song it takes me back to being on the lake in Wisconsin with the wind blowing through my hair. It was two summers ago and I recall listening to that song on the boat. I've also got some Norweigian in me too, so that's special.
Peach Festival '98 I had my friend over and while in town we stopped off at the video rentals and rented Yellow Submarine and Help. Then we stopped off at the both of the local (now non-existant) oldies radio station. The guy at the both saw the tape boxes, "I know it's none of my business, but what did you rent?" So I showed him the tape. "Oh, you're Beatles fans!"
"1964..The Tribute" Concert at the local theater I heard an advertisement on the radio for a show in the area that was sposed to be the world's #1 Beatles show! Well, I ended up going and it was true. They were VERY good. Little did I know that I'd end up meeting them after the show...
Setting goals for the school year My parents wanted me to set goals for school to keep my grades up, well one day I finally figured out what I wanted. But my dad interrupted me. "No, we cannot get you Paul McCartney, or Ringo Starr, and George is not feeling good." "And John is dead." my mother included. All I could do was *blunt stare*
When I bought Yellow Submarine My dad took me to get it. And Record Town included with the buy a Yellow Submarine balloon. Well, my dad started bopping me with it and I gave him a dirty look, to which he replied, "Don't give me that Blue Meanie look." *'Nother blunt stare.*
My second "1964"...The Tribute concert! Almost a year later the band came to the county fair! Of course I had to see them! The band was just as good as last time, and this time I brought two friends. Again I got their autographs on a nice tour program. Whee..!
I have more memories, I just can't remember them all at once.
