Dream Tournament IV:Third &^%$#@*& Impact

Well, here we go again.

We used to have a neeters site up for Dream Tournament IV, over at http://dt4.ecom.net, but, unfortunately, fate had other plans for us. At least we got through the fourth round before shit went wrong.

Anyway. We're coming up on the fifth round of, trumpets please, Dream Tournament IV. There are only four fighters left, and, in the fifth, they'll be facing off for the prize of Champion of the Multiverse! Our first match is a battle between the biggest sl--I mean, the most alluring females of all, and our second is a shooting match in every sense of the words!

Dream Tournament IV started in September 1996 or thereabouts, under the auspices of Jeff "Deuce" Neussbaum, "Jolly Green" Jason Wright, and Mike "Wraith" Pureka. They managed to get through three rounds' worth of asskickin' before that most feared of all Internet afflictions, real life, stepped in, and they were forced to put DTIV on indefinite hiatus.

This is what they did.

Around June of '97 or so, I made the acquaintance of Hunter, the guy who ran, at that point, the MVFC, as well as the fighting game archive at brawl.ecom.net; a couple of months earlier, I'd volunteered to finish the Ultimate Video Rumble. He let me know that Deuce and company were thinking of going on hiatus from the DT, and, naturally, I jumped at the chance. The DT's a legend, at least in my mind. Later on, Kevin "Emerald" Kanda jumped on board as well.

Eventually, we got our act together enough to write Round 4--and the voting totals broke any record any of us had ever seen. Here's what we did.
