Do you know that...

The first passenger elevator for private use was installed in King Louis XV private apartments located at the Petite Cour du Roy at the Palace of Versailles in 1743. The elevator was used to give the king secret access to the suite on the second floor for his mistress, Mme. De Chateauroux. On the other hand, the first passenger elevator for public used was installed in the Coliseum building in London in 1829. The elevator continued service until the building was burned in 1875.

Genghis Khan was probably the most famous Mongol that ever lived. His real name was actually Temujin. At the age of 12 he witnessed both his parents killed in a tribal battle. Forced to live as a fugitive for sometime, he later got involved in trival wars and always emerged victorious.

He became a chief and succeeded to unite all the Mongol trives under his command. Like in fairytale stories, Genhis Khan married a Chinese princess, having reached China in 1211. He died in 1227 and left a vast empire to his descendants, one of whom was Kublai Khan mentioned in the Marco Polo travel story.
