MelB confirmed on Much Music that she is STILL engaged to Jimmy Gulzar despite what the tabloids have said. And they plan on getting married soon..soon..meaning a year from now or a month from now, who knows...While the Girls were in Toronto, Victoria, MelC, and Emma went sunbathing in the pool area of Four Seasons Hotel. They couldn't get too much privacy cos office workers in the next building kept on staring at them through the window, but the Girls were nice and waved to them occasinally, and even signed autographs for some fans. MelC took swim in the pool, but when she came out she noticed that her top became see-through! So throughout the rest of the sunbathing she had her hands on her boobs to cover up, and they were having a huge laugh about it! After that, MelC went to Starbucks to get a mango-banana-orange juice, the clerks said she seemed pretty quiet and took a few sips of the drink while she waited for her pals...Geri is on the cover of the August issue of Marie Claire magazine, this is her first interview and photo session since she left the group.

The Spices are set to star on an episode of The Love Boat, the US television series. They will shot the episode next month in the Caribbean, and it will air this Autumn...The Girls are on the cover of the July 10th issue of Entertaiment Weekly. The interview is mostly about the departure of Geri...The Viva Forever video is now playing on Much Music. Its a funky video, the actual Spice Girls are not in it, instead they are animated Fairies and it takes place in the forest and its very creative, so watch out for that.

Melanie Brown and Jimmy Gulzar broke up!:-( Only 6 weeks ago he proposed to her on bended knee, and only about a week ago they were seen holding hands while they rushed into the CBS studio to perform on David Letterman, but now they split! Now its being guessed that he will not continue with the Tour, which sounds predictable...On a lighter note, Victoria and David have signed a £1,000,000 deal with OK! Magazine, the couple is giving permission to the magazine to take exclusive pictures at the wedding. The pictures will include the first kiss, the cake, the HONEYMOON, and more. The Best Man will be Gary Neville, David's team mate, but Victoria hasn't said who the Bride's Maid will be yet. There is also a good chance that the Spice Girls will perform, and there will be pictures of that too...The Viva Forever single will be released on July 13 in the UK, it appears the Girls have put off the Double A Side single w/ Never Give Up On The Good Times. There will be 2 cds for the Viva Forever single, CD1 - An interactive cd that will include the video for VF, plus interactive elements. CD2 - Live performances of "Who Do You Think You Are" and "Say You'll Be There", recorded at the Birmingham NEC, UK.

The Girls are now on their American Tour, and the reviews from critics and fans have been excellent! Well, a few days ago while the Girls were in Florida, Emma went to Disney World and had a spice ol' time. She went on a few rides including Splash Moutain where she got drenched! So next time you ride on Splash Mountain, you could be sitting in the exact same seat Emma Bunton sat in...Heres a little tid-bit of info for you, the Girls (except MelC) love smoking Benson&Hedges cigarettes. Now THATS exciting news!:-p
*June-16-98*Sadly, Geri was turned down when she auditioned for a part in Charlie's Angels:-( She wasn't the "right size" for the role apparently:-(...MelB announced that she and Missy Elliott are to do a song together!:-D The song will be on a soundtrack for an upcoming movie. "I will be doing over the next couple of weeks. Wait and see. It's the soundtrack for a very cool movie."...SpiceWorld the Movie is out today, so I recommend you all to get it! It has some exclusive footage at the end of the movie so you don't wanna miss that, do ya?
*June-12-98*During the American Tour, the Girls will bring along a film crew to record the concerts including backstage things, and they will release it on video around October, about the same time the Live Album comes out...A cd will be released soon on the "Pavarotti & Friends for the Children of Liberia" event, the cd will include the Spice Girls performances of "Stop" and their new single "Viva Forever" which Pavarotti contributed his vocals to...Spice World, the video game for Sony PlayStation will be released in Europe sometime soon, and in America in the winter. The object of the game is to choreograph a dance routine using cute animated cartoons of the Spice Girls, the game will also feature 30 minutes of live footage of the Girls.
*June-10-98*Melanie C confessed to the world that she used to shoplift when she was around 18 and 19 yrs old. But it was cos she was poor and barely had any food so she just went down the supermarket with a big empty bag and filled it up with food, it wasn't like she stole car radios or anything. A girl's got to do what she gots to do...I've heard that the Girls will go and make the 2nd movie with or without Geri, and it will also star Michael Jordon, Mr. Bean, and, get this, ALL SAINTS! I have a feeling this is just a rumor...MelanieC said that the Girls have been keeping in touch with Geri, so I guess there are no hard feelings, but she also said that there were a lot of things to sort out. Speaking about Geri, I think she DID get the role for the Charlie's Angels movie, cos I heard that it will also star Jenny McCarthy and Tori Spelling...Woo-hoo! Victoria & David's wedding is just round the corner! Well, its not until next year actually. I heard that its gonna be one of the biggest weddings in celebrity history, with geese and doves and Gucci and all that! And the guest list is said to be huge, but its not *that* huge..cos I wasn't invited;-( Hehe, oh well! But Victoria is scared at asking the Girls to be bridesmaids cos "she's frightened we're all going to turn up looking a complete state..wearing these hideous dresses just to ruin the whole day. We wouldn't, really," said MelanieC, and when asked if they were gonna sing at the wedding, Melanie said "I think we'll all be too drunk," and Emma said Victoria'll "probably want someone a bit bigger. *June-7-98*I don't wanna talk about it that much, but here is the Official statement from Geri: "This message is for the fans. Sadly, I would like to confirm that I have left the Spice Girls. This is because of differences between us. I'm sure the group will continue to be successful and I wish them all the best. I have no immediate plans. I wish to apologise to all the fans and to thank them and everyone who's been there. Lots of love, Geri PS I'll be back." Official statement from Spice Girls: "We are upset and saddened by Geri's departure but we are very supportive in whatever she wants to do. The Spice Girls are here to stay - see you at the stadiums! We are sorry to all our fans for having to go through all of this. All our love, Victoria Emma MelC MelB. Friendship never ends!" Apparently *some* of the other Girls were giving Geri a hard time, and she couldn't take it anymore and left. I'm trying not to talk much about it, cos this site is all about positivity, so I will turn this situation into something good: Geri said she was on a mission, she has completed that mission, and now she is on to the next mission on her list. Some people may think Geri is a hypocrite for not practising in what she preaches, but I think this is the most ultimate sign of Girl Power I have ever witnessed! "If you really bug me then I'll say good-bye," in my eyes, she will *always* be a Spice Girl...Ok, lets get off the subject about the Spices splitting, lets talk about MelB's parents' split. Yes, you heard me right, Andrea & Martin Brown split after 23 years of marriage:-(...Anyways, lets get positive, shall we? Its voting season again! Time for you guys to help out the Spices and vote!:

*May-29-98*First and most importantly, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELANIE! Melanie Brown is 23 today, and no doubt she is partying away as we speak!:-D Today turned out to be a good day cos all the news I found was good! Well, Victoria became an Aunt this week! Her 21 year old sister Louise had a baby girl, so congrats to the entire Adams family...Here's an article (thanks to Linda!) confirming that Geri is NOT leaving the band, that she is just ill, I think its official now cos it was quoted from the Girls themselves, and theres also info on the 3rd album, the 2nd movie, and marriages, so its a must-read!
*May-28-98*Here's an article about Geri's little stomach bug, but DO NOT take this article seriously! This is the same tabloid that said the Girls were breaking up a year ago, they often blow things out of proportion and they are often proved wrong, and the Girls are very loyal to their fans, and they would NOT break up in the middle of their first worldtour, trust me, and I made a written contract (and I signed it and everything) to myself that the day the Spice Girls break up, is the day I get that same Girl Power tat MelC has on her arm, cos I really REALLY hate needles:
Speculation over the future of the Spice Girls emerged Friday after Geri Halliwell failed to perform with the rest of the band for the second night in a row. On Thursday, a band spokeswoman said Geri's absence was caused by a stomach bug and that she was resting. But late Thursday night, a spokesman said he could not comment on a report in a tabloid newspaper's Friday edition that Ginger had walked out, possibly for good. "She's had to take a couple of days off, that's all I know. Beyond that I'm as in the dark as anyone," said the spokesman, speaking on customary condition of anonymity. The band performed Thursday in Oslo as a quartet, having also appeared without Geri on television Wednesday night in Britain. "All I can say is, she's having a couple of days off. Where it goes from there I don't know," the spokesman said. "I am sure that will be figured out soon. It is hard to be more specific than that." But the tabloid Sun claims Ginger walked out of the tour after a "blazing row," and that her band-mates fear she might have left for good. The newspaper said Geri has left Britain for a secret location (my house;-)), and that the rest of the group would hold a "crunch meeting" with her next week. The Spices are scheduled to head for the US next month for a 40-city tour lasting until August. "There was a major row because the others felt Geri wasn't working with them as part of a team," The Sun quoted an unnamed source as saying. "No one knows if Geri will continue with the American dates. Everything is up in the air at the moment."..Despite the rumors, the rest of the Girls stuck to the story Thursday night that Geri was simply ill.
*May-26-98*Geri announced to the public recently that she found a lump in her right breast when she was 18, to find out if it was cancerous or not, they had to do an operation, if it was cancerous they would of had to take out her whole breast, but thankfully it was just a nign. Geri said: "It was an absolutely hideous time..I knew that if the lump was cancerous I would lose my breast. I've always been known for having big boobs and to have that taken away was a horrifying thought..It was a really tough time. But it made me realise how precious life is."...Since people now know that Geri had a lump in her breast, she and the other Girls are helping raise money for a breast cancer campaign called Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, during the TOTP performance (they're gonna perform Viva Forever and the England World Cup song On Top Of The World) the Girls will wear Target t-shirts to help promote awarness of the charity, and you could probably get the same shirts at the high street stores in England priced at £12.99. Geri said: "If by reading my story other young girls are encouraged to check their breasts and find out more about it, then it will have been worthwhile. I was one of the lucky ones. It could so easily have been breast cancer and my whole life would have been different..The Spice Girls wanted to wear the T-shirts to demonstrate our support for Breakthrough and all the work they do in finding out what causes this terrible disease."...Ok, its now confirmed by MelanieC herself, that the tattoo on her tummy says ANGEL and she said, "It really hurt - but it was worth it."...For those of you in the States, you can pre-order SpiceWorld at Blockbuster video, which comes out on June 16, if you pre-order it you get these mini-posters of each Girl for free, I'm not sure if its at every Blockbuster but ask them anyway.
*May-25-98*MelB has officially confirmed to the press that she is getting married to Jimmy Gulzar, no date has been planned for the wedding yet...Victoria talks about the following subjects: Shopping- "When we go shopping they tend to shut the shops for us now..It's not that I'm blas, but when you visit as many
countries as we do it's hard to keep converting the currencies. I have my own pricing system: if all the clothes are wired up
with alarm bells I know I'm in an expensive area. I don't actually
go shopping a lot because it's so difficult. Usually, I see clothes
in magazines and ask Kenny, our stylist, to get them in for me.
Sometimes I miss being able to wander around the shops with David, or the rest of the girls. Although David and I did walk round Tesco a little while ago in just T-shirts, shorts and no shoes." Fashion- "I'm really into the latest Dolce Gabbana collection, and Plein Sud. There's also Echoes, a new label we've discovered in Europe. I saw Madonna wearing one of its dresses recently - they aren't cheap." Wedding- "I've got an obsession with geese, I want geese walking in the front garden at the wedding. Have you seen the film Father of the Bride? In it there was this gay wedding co-ordinator called Franque and he had geese walking around the garden. It makes me laugh. I want doves, too - the whole works..We've talked about (the other Girls being bridesmaids). It depends whether they're willing to trade in those Buffalo trainers for heels. I've told them that they have to wear whatever I say. I think the girls are stylish, and we often borrow clothes from each other, but I'm not keen on those clumpy shoes. I haven't decided who will make the dress either, although I love John Galliano. His dresses are gorgeous. But to be honest, I wish designers would come to me with ideas. I'm keeping a really open mind about it." New hair-do's (Victoria's)- "I love it, although it makes me feel a lot more exposed. Whenever I'm being photographed now, I'm always worried I've got a double chin." (David's)- "I remember looking at him as we left the salon and he had his blond hair and his sunglasses on. He looked more like a pop star than I did. I was left hanging around him in my jeans feeling very unglamorous."...The media is going crazy and is assuming Victoria wants a baby right now, after she was spotted in a nursery playing with the babies while David was working on doing a voice-over for a radio station. Of course she wants a baby, but not any time soon, she said she's "very young" to be thinking about babies now, she has bigger things to worry about, like the band...For the US tour, the Girls are going to be riding in a custom-made limo which will be easy to spot if you saw it cruzing down the highway: The limo will be painted in red, white and blue (like the Union Jack flag), inside will have a safe to lock up their valuables, and the seats will be engraved with each of the Girls names.
*May-21-98*Charles Manson (don't know much about him except that he's a pshychopath schizophrenic devil worshiper who had his followers murder 7 people in 1969 and is now serving a life sentance, at least thats what I heard) is a huge Spice Girls fan. I'm sorta creeped out about this though, cos he told prison guards that if all 5 of the Spices visit him, he will happily kill himself by lethal injection. Sources in the prison claim that the Spice Girls are his only pleasure in life, and if he'd get a chance to meet them, he would die a happy man. But for some reason, he will ONLY kill himself if ALL 5 Spices visit him, he doesn't want 2 or 3, he wants all 5! When I hear funky news like this, I usually laugh it off, but this scared the sh*t out of me! The Girls were absolutely horrified when they found out, their spokeswoman said, "This is just too disgusting and horrible for
words. No way will they be going to meet him and they would not dream of commenting on this." Hey, if they're able to put a smile on Charles Manson's face, then those Spices have to be something special. I'm seriously telling you all, they are angels sent down from God!...The Spices will be on next Wednesday's National Lottery Draw show over in England. The show will be a half-hour special, and the Girls will perform 2 songs.
*May-18-98*For the taping of ITV's "An Audience with...Rod Stewart" on Monday, Emma was asked to do a duet with the Rod, even though she was all the in Vienna, Austria on tour, she decided to do it anyway, but on one condition: "I have to leave at 9pm, or else." In case you didn't know, the Girls are tax exiles this year, they each owe around £5M to the tax people, and are only allowed 60 days on British soil, and were forced to move out of the country to Austria. So that meant Emma was on a very tight schedule. She got to the studio at 4:30pm and her first words were: "Order me a car for 9pm. I've got to get away from the taxman." It was 8:30pm now, they were getting ready to do the song, but then Emma accidentally pulled out Rod's microphone lead! I wasn't until the end of the song that the producers realised what happened and asked them to do a re-take. Emma kept smiling on the outside, but inside she was PISSED! LOL! When they finally finished the song the second time, she ran out that door like a cheetah, she was out of the country by 8:59pm! Nice one Em!...Theres word that the Girls might sign a new film contract around September, yay! More movies!...The Welsh people are pissed off at Becks & Vic just because they were considering on buying a house there. Well, actually they're mad cos they're towns are turning into another Monte Carlo and are loosing its ethnic backround. The Welsh people are demanding "if you do come to Wales, learn Welsh", they just want the rich English people who are becoming more and more common in Wales, to respect and appreciate the culture, which is understandable. Does it seem that Victoria & David are not welcomed anywhere? If they move around Manchester, Victoria will get crap from the Man people, if they move south around where Vic lives, then David will get crap from the Man people too, if they move to Wales, both of them will get crap from the Welsh, so I guess theres no other choice but to move to the states then, and move to San Fran, cos if no one will be nice to you, *I* will be nice to you! Yup, damn straight.
*May-16-98*The South Park people are making a soundtrack and the Spice Girls are scheduled to appear on it. Along with other artists such as Elton John, Teddy Riley, Primus, and Ween. I'm not sure when the soundtrack will come out or which SG song they will use.
*May-14-98*Late Breaking News!: MelB is engaged!! 25 year old, Jimmy Gulzar, proposed to her over a candle-lit dinner in a posh restaurant in Paris on Wednesday. First he made reservations for a Midnight dinner at the £50-per-person eaterie, he brought a bouquet of white roses for her, they were kissing and hugging all night long when Jimmy decided to go to the restroom, when he came back he had the huge engagment ring in his hand, he got down on bended knee, and by this time Mel was clapping and screaming and practically in tears, he proposed to her and she said YES. She told him "I didn't think anybody would ever ask me!", then after dinner they went into a private room in the restaurant and heaven knows what they did in there;-) Thats what basically happened. And only after 10 weeks being together! I am soo happy for her! Yay!...The Girls wanna star in a movie, but this time they're not gonna play themselves, they wanna play female superstars of the Fifties and Sixties. "I would love to do another movie, but as long as it's a glamorous role, I don't care!", says Victoria, and even though they had to get up at 6:30 in the morning when they made SpiceWorld, "that wouldn't stop us from doing it again" said MelanieC. But they'd only do the movie if the script was perfect for them, cos they wanna have fun while making the movie, so Girls, take my advice, have Jennifer Saunders write you the script!! Please?!...David Beckham dyed his hair blonde, and Victoria says she looves it! Here's the pic...The Spice Girls and Michelle Stephenson (the girl that quit the group and got replaced by Emma before they became the Spice Girls) are in the May 19th issue of the National Enquirer, Michelle talks about how she regrets nothing, and how she's gonna release an album of her own sometime soon.
*May-12-98*I just heard a rumor that the Spice Girls WILL make another Spice movie, they are working on a name for the movie, so far they have come up with "Global Spice", which is a pretty stupid name, but like I said they are working on it. They will start shooting the movie at the end of this year. Hopefully they'll let Jennifer Saunders write the WHOLE ENTIRE script this time, cos I was really disappointed when I heard that Jennifer was gonna help on the script, but when I saw the movie I didn't see any of her comedy in it, I just thought it'd be hella funny if they did a scene with Victoria acting drunk and making a complete fool of herself by running down the halls naked, and then trips and falls flat on her face with her ass sticking up in the air (that almost happened in real life too). I think the movie would of been a massive hit if they would of added that little scene. You better be taking notes on this Mr. Spiers!
*May-11-98*They're coming out with new dolls now, they are called the On Tour Dolls, and here are the pics: MelB, Emma, Vic, MelC, and Geri...MelB is doing something for charity by paying for the upbringing of a little boy in Kenya, she said "The little boy I'm sponsoring doesn't know who I am. I wonder if he's heard of the Spice Girls"...Speaking about organizations, apparently the evil PETA people were planning to throw that pie at Vicky at the Brits instead, but security was too tight so they couldn't, and they throw pies at ALL the celebrities that wear fur, not just Vic, but since they are an animal rights organization, I assume they're aware that pies are made out of milk, which comes from cows, which are usually tortured and harmed during the milking process, so "at the end of the day" they are actually promoting harm to animals, so in conclusion they are all going to hell! Oh, IMPORTANT: If you would like to tell the PETA people your thoughts on them harrassing Victoria, please email them, or if you live in the UK then click here, and if you want to snail-mail them then click here for their addy, I'm predicting it just might be another WWSD mission...This girl who saw MelanieC's new tattoo in an interview told me that it clearly says ANGEL, so I guess it says ANGEL then, cos LOGIC did sound dorky...There are rumors going around that the SG Live Album will be released through Pepsi, like the Step To Me CD, if that is true then it'll probably won't be available in America:-( And the SW movie might be out on May 15 in some areas of the world, I've also heard it might be available on June16, so just keep an eye out for it.

Recording-Artists/Group" at the '98 World Music Awards!...MelB just bought a new home in Hampstead, North London for $3.7MILLION! It includes state-of-the-art security, a gym, and a pool, and her neighbors are Sting, Liam Gallagher, and Boy George...The Spices former press officer, Muff Fitzgerald, who quit Virgin a year ago, has signed a huge deal to release a tell-all book on his experience with the Spice Girls. "Spiced Out" will be released later this year, and it sounds very juicy, even though it might be an Unofficial book...Girl Power rules the top 5 most popular albums in the world! #1 Whitney Houston w/Bodyguard, #2 Celine Dion, #3 Mariah Carey, #4 Alanis Morissette, #5 Spice Girls!
