"I know her world a little too well."
I'm sure most people know Sheryl's story and if you don't, I recommend checking out other Sheryl sites for that information. This page is basically about how I got into Sheryl's music.

December 1996 is when I first saw Sheryl's video, "If It Makes You Happy." I thought it was a cool song and saw the video many times on VH1 that I started picking up the words. If that wasn't enough, it was played a million times on the radio.

The following month, I saw the album was on sale and knew it was the best time to get it. So I bought it and plopped in into my cd player, from that moment, Sheryl Crow was one cd that practically lived in my stereo. Before getting hooked onto Sheryl's music, I was addicted to The Beatles and vowed to remain a faithful fan for life. I know it sounds pretty dumb, but the Beatles walked into my life in seventh grade. (A die hard fan for three years that is.)

As for me saying the cd lived in my stereo, I couldn't go to bed without hearing it. When I first heard "Redemption Day," it made me cry and is still a favorite song to this date.

When did I get her debut album? Gee, when I saw a video of her performing "All I Wanna Do" at the Grammy Awards and that's when I found out she had another album. The video was when they were going through old stuff of 1997 Grammy nominees. I lent my older sister the Sheryl Crow cd and said she could have it for a week. Well, not being able to continue with my normal routine, I missed that cd terribly. I rushed to my Wal-Mart (yes, I said Wal-Mart) and bought Tuesday Night Music Club.

It would be about two weeks that my sister had my cd and I had to bombard her to return it. I got it back, only to find out she never listened to it. So into the stereo player is where the Sheryl Crow cd went. I've listened to this cd so many times that I broke the jewel case. Well, I made a copy of SC and TNMC to listen to in my car and it was THE tape that lived in my tape player for about six months. I had to quit listening to the tape for a while after it started to sound funny and thought I'd be wearing it out.

Eight months after getting the SC cd, I found out she was having a concert in Tampa, which is about two hours away. I was lucky enough to get the tickets because at our first Ticketmaster outlet, the machine was down and we were at Gayfers so we could charge it on my mother's Gayfers card. At the second outlet, we learned they only accepted cash. I was short about ten bucks from my pockets to pay for two tickets and my mother paid the difference.

I got to see Sheryl in concert! To this very day, I still can't believe my mother drove two hours just so I could see Sheryl. Unbelieveable to the point where I'm still thanking her for it.

Exactly a year after seeing Sheryl's concert, her new album, The Globe Sessions was released. Of course, I emptied my pockets just so I could buy it. I had on heard "My Favorite Mistake" about two times on the radio and I cried the first time I heard it. Naturally, I fell in love with The Globe Sessions.

Why do I like Sheryl so much? She's has a beautiful voice that can make me cry easily. I find myself relating to some of Sheryl's stories for some reason. I like the songs she wrote that made me open my eyes and look at the world around me. It's also through Sheryl where I got into other artists I listen to, most of them were in the Lilith Fair.

How did I get to managing this page? When I wanted to dedicate a page just for her because one page on my The Village of Lilith Fair was too small for the five time Grammy award winner. I thought of naming it Redemption Day, for my favorite song, but I thought that sounded too depressing. So I decided on Maybe Angels, the song I call The X Files theme wannabe. It seems to fit perfectly to be the theme song I think, since I'm a big fan of the show.
