exactly are the covers of Load and ReLoad supposed to be? The image on
Load's Cover is a photograph called Blood and Semen III done by Anrdes
Serrano. It was done by mixing bovine blood and the artist's own semen
between two sheets of plexiglass. Kirk discovered the photo while looking
through a collection of the artist's work at a bookstore. The Image on
ReLoad's cover is called "Piss and Blood," also done by Andres Serrano |

| Kirk's
tattoo was a present to himself for Christmas 1995. It reads: "Made in
SF 11-18-62." (Which is his birthday) It's wrapped around his belly button.
He also has a set of hot rod flames on his hips, and a few piercings. |

Jason's
brother, Tim Newsted, teaches elementary school. ( I wonder what the kids
do if Jason shows up..)
On
Load and ReLoad, everything Kirk plays is on the right speaker while everything
James plays is on the left. Now you can tell who's soloing! |

Who or what is Ktulu? Ktulu is a tentacled faced creature that lies dormant
on the bottom of the ocean awaiting the call to awaken from his followers,created
by H.P. Lovecraft and actually spelled Cthulu. |

Kirk was asked to join the band on April fools day, also the week before
recording Metallica's first album "Kill 'em All." At first he thought it
was just a joke, but soon found out it wasn't. He then flew from San Francisco
to New York to meet up with the band, but what he found was James, Lars,
and Cliff passed out on the floor of their apartment at 2 in the afternoon.
James'
daughter and Lars' son are born only a month apart. Do we see a possible
love connection waiting to happen? lol |
