Chapter 10

Sahar and Nick were sitting on the reclining chair in the family room. Actually, Nick was sitting on the chair, Sahar was sitting on his lap. “What do you think Amanda and Brian are doing?” Nick asked.

Sahar smiled. “Who cares?” Slipping her arms around his neck.

“What do you have in mind?” Nick smiled mischievously pulling Sahar closer to him.

“I dunno,” Sahar said leaning in and kissing Nick. When they finally broke off the kiss, Nick said, “I like that kind of nothings,” kissing Sahar again. Sahar deepen the kiss. They were so into making out that they didn’t hear Brian and Amanda walk in.

Brian smiled at Amanda, she said, “Nicholas Gene Carter, how many times have I told you don’t to make out in the house where your brother and sisters can walk in at anytime?”

Sahar and Nick jumped. “Sorry mom,” Nick mummbled without even looking up.

Amanda and Brian started laughing. Sahar looked up and saw them, holding hands. “Cute you too, real cute!” Sahar replied pretending to be annoyed.

“Nick, that shade of red goes quite well with you shirt,” Brian laughed sitting down on the couch.

Nick turned a deeper red. “Umm, guys,” Nick said. “We were in the middle of something. Could you two please leave?”

“Why? This is the family room, not the Nick and Sahar making out room,” Amanda smiled.

Sahar grabbed a pillow and threw it at Amanda, but she missed and hit Brian. “You throw like a girl,” he said through his laughing.

Amanda grabbed the pillow and whacked him across the head, “She doesn’t throw like a girl. She can’t throw,” Amanda giggled.

“Oh, no you didn’t,” Brian said in a mucacho tone. He took the pillow out of Amanda’s hands and tossed towards her. She was able to duck, so it hit Nick and Sahar, who were kissing again. “Come on, guys,” Sahar complained. “Can’t you see we’re busy?”

“Not anymore,” Brian said throwing another pillow at them.

“Alright, Sahar,” Nick smiled. “I think this means war.” Sahar got off Nick’s lap taking a pillow with her. She threw the pillow at Brian, but thinking she would miss, he didn’t duck. She hit him right in the head.

“Oh, no, Nick,” Brian laughed. “Now, your girlfriend is going to get it.” Brian ran towards Sahar and flung her over his shoulder.

“Nick,” Sahar called. “Save me!”

“Amanda, get your man under control,” Nick was laughing so hard that he fell back into the chair.

“He isn’t my man,” Amanda corrected. “Go save your helpless girlfriend.”

“I am not helpless,” Sahar smiled biting Brian softly.

Brian dropped her. “Aww! You bit me.”

“Oh, stop being a baby, I didn’t even bite you hard. You should have but me down,” she laughed walking towards Nick. She whispered something into Nick’s ear and he agreed with her. They both looked Brian and Amanda.

“Why do I get the feeling that they are planning something against us?” Amanda asked Brian.

“I know that look in Nick’s eye. It can’t be good,” Brian said slowly pulling Amanda towards the door.
