As soon as Amanda and Brian were out the door Sahar dashed for it and locked it. "I knew they’d fall for it," she said with a smile.
Nick grinned and pulled her towards him, "now where were we?"
"Somewhere around here," Sahar whispered slipping her arms around his next and kissing him softly.
"Oh yah," he mumbled.
Amanda and Brian stared at each other for a minute and then realized they had been had. They considered picking the lock but decided not to. "It’s getting late, I better head home," Amanda told Brian with a yawn.
"Yah me too, we have a big day planned tomorrow."
Amanda smiled and then smacked her head, "damn Sahar brought me over, now I have to go pry her off Nick or walk."
"I’ll take you," Brian offered quietly. Amanda smiled, "that’s okay, you have to drive back to Orlando it’s in the opposite direction. Besides the moon is pretty bright and it’s still warm. It only takes about 15 minutes, I can walk."
Brian shook his head, "it’s only a few minutes out of my way, I’ll take you." "No Brian, I’ll be fine." "Damn it girl, you are so stubborn, I’m taking you and that’s final." With that he grabbed Amanda and threw her over his shoulder and carried her outside.
"Brian," she giggled, "put me down!"
"Fine," he huffed as he set her in his jeep.
She looked around, "Didn’t AJ and the guys ride with you?"
"Yah they probably called a cab or got a ride with someone."
"oh okay," she sighed fastening her seat belt as he climbed in next to her.
He started the car and waited for the engine to warm a little, "want to listen to some music?" he asked. She nodded and he flipped on the radio. Most of the drive home was silent as they both contemplated the evenings events. Brian pulled into the driveway and shut off the jeep. Never one attempted to move from their seats. "Amanda, I’m really glad we talked," Brian finally spoke. Amanda nodded and stared straight ahead. "So I’ll call you in the morning and we’ll make plans?" He asked. She again nodded, and Brian sighed, what had he done now? "Amanda….." he started but was cut off by her kissing him.
Just as he realized what was going on and started to respond, she pulled away. "I’ll see you tomorrow Brian,: she whispered and then hopped out of the jeep and opened the door to her apartment. Brian just sat there for a minute and then with a happy sigh started the jeep and headed home.
Nick and Sahar were still making out when someone knocked on the door. "Nick, it’s mom open up," a voice called.
"Funny Amanda, I’m not falling for it again. Go away I want to make out with Sahar," he called back.
"Nicholas, Amanda and Brian left 20 minutes ago, open this door now!!"
Sahar’s eye were wide and Nick’s jaw dropped. "When I get my hands on those two, they are so dead," he muttered as he threw open the door.
"Hi Mom!"
