"Nicholas, Sahar," Jane said trying not to laugh. Her son and his girlfriend were a bright red.
"Hi, mom," Sahar joked. Amanda and Sahar always called Jane mom, just as Nick called their mothers mom.
"So, do I need to make a rule about locking doors?" Jane asked,
Nick blushed, "No, mom. It’s just that Brian and Amanda were bothering us…" Nick trailed off deciding his mom didn’t need to know the rest.
"Talking about Brian and Amanda. What did you two do for them to actually leave together?" Sahar smiled.
"Let’s just say that they came to their senses." Nick realized that his mom was holding something behind her back. "What are you hiding Mom?"
"Oh, this," she said holding up the white envelop. "It’s nothing. Just your birthday present from us."
Jane handed her son the envelope. Nick quickly opened it. Inside were four plane tickets to the Bahamas. "Your father and I thought that you two would like to have a vacation together. Of course, we were going to send Brian and Amanda to make sure you two behave yourselves, but now I guess I’ll have to have a talk with them also."
Nick looked at Sahar. He knew where this was headed. Sahar looked at her watch, "Oh look, I better get home," she smiled. Nick gave her a don’t-leave-now look. Sahar started to walk towards the door, but she didn’t make it past Nick. He grabbed her by the waist and dragged her back.
"You aren’t leaving me alone for the talk," he whispered.
Jane was sitting on a chair. "Look you two," she started. "We are letting you go on this trip because we trust you. Promise me you aren’t going to do anything you are going to regret." Jane looked at Sahar. "Your parents didn’t want to let you go, but I promised them that you guys would behave yourselves."
Nick and Sahar were being to turn red. "There are two hotel rooms reserved… one for Brian and Nick, and another for you and Amanda. No co-ed rooms. Understand?" Jane said, noticing that she was embarrassing them. They both nodded. "Alright, I’m going to bed, now."
"I’m going to walk Sahar to her car," Nick smiled at his mom taking Sahar’s hand.
"Five minutes, Nick, five minutes." Jane smiled. Nick and Sahar headed outside.
"We are going to the Bahamas, alone," Sahar whispered.
"This could be fun," Nick said giving Sahar a kiss.
"I better go," Sahar said breaking off the kiss.
"I’ll call you tomorrow," he smiled.
"Wait," Sahar said, "I have your present for you." Sahar took out a box out of her car. "Here ya go."
Nick opened the box, inside was a photo album. Nick gave Sahar a weird look. "Open it, silly," she giggled. Inside the photo album were pictures of Nick, Sahar, and Amanda. "You always complain about not having any pictures of us, so there you go," she smiled. The pictures ranged from when they were kids to recent ones.
"Thank you," Nick said pulling Sahar in for another kiss.
"Five minutes is up," Jane called from inside.
"Coming mom," he mumbled. "I'll call you tomorrow."
"I'll be a Manda's house. I was suppose to sleepover," she said.
"I hope she's still awake." Nick gave Sahar one more kiss and headed inside. Sahar got into her car and drove to Amanda's house. Her lights were still on. "Good, she's still awake," she said to herself. She walked up to the door and opened.
"God, took you long enough," Manda said as Sahar walked in.
"It was all a part of the plan to get Brian to take you home," Sahar smiled.
"Jane had to pull you two a part, huh?"
"Well, yeah," Sahar blushed.
