Chapter 2

In the Lourve

Justin wasn’t really looking where he was walking. He walked right into a blond woman, “I’m sorry,” he apologized.

“It’s OK,” she replied. Noticing he didn’t have an accent, she added, “Not from around here, are you?”

“Nope. My friends and I are from Orlando,” he explained.

“Really? Well, I’m a teacher. My name is Wendy Christopher. Anyway, I’m with a bunch of my students. We’re from Miami.” Wendy explained. She noticed that Justin and the other guys were alone. “DO you guys want to join us? After this we are going to see Versailles and then we’ll be back here in Paris tonight.”

“Yeah, sure thanks,” he replied. He called the other guys over and introduced them.

“Excuse me, Mrs. Christopher,” one of her students said.

“Yeah, Flora. What’s up?”

Flora saw the guys behind Mrs. Christopher. “Ohmigod,” she exclaimed. The guys looked at each other. - One thought running through their mind- she’s gonna scream. “Hi, I’m Flora, she was finally able to get out.

“Hi,” the guys said in unison- quite relieved that she didn’t scream. Mrs. Christopher just stood there confused. Flora proceeded to explain. “You know the group Alex and I have been buying CDs of in London? Well, this is them.”

“The Backstreet Boys?”

“No, no, no,” Flora replied. “How can you compare BSB to Nsync? Nsync is way better.”

“Now, that is what I like to hear,” Chris laughed. “So, Flora, you are from Miami, right?”

“Yup. Before you ask- yes, I went to Volleypollaza along with my best friend, Alexia.” JC and Justin looked at each. Justin had thought he had seen Alexia in the crowd, but later he thought it was his imagination.

“Flora,” Alexia called not looking at who Flora was talking to, “Let’s go.”

“Alex, look who is joining us today.” Alexia looked up and she saw Justin looking right back at her.

“Aly, what are you doing here?” he asked.

“Whose Aly?” she replied. “I’m Alexia.”

Justin looked at her blankly; “You don’t remember me?”

“Sorry, Justin- I’ve never meet you before. Trust me when I say that if I did, I would remember.”

Justin felt his heart break. The one girl that he felt that he truly loved was standing in front of him, denying that she ever knew him. “How can you do this to me?” he whispered. Alexia didn’t hear him because she was already heading towards the bus with Flora, Lance, Joey, and Chris. JC didn’t know what to say to Justin, “Justin, maybe she really doesn’t remember.”

“Yeah, and Santa is real,” he replied coldly.
