"Yes, its true that Hellion was formed at a haunted house in Tujunga, California. I felt closer to that house then I do with most people and my experiences there changed my life. First of all, I was going through a lot of wierd personal stuff. I took over the haunted house because it was where my boyfriend at the time had been living. His father died and he inherited one of the big breweries in Canada so he had to leave suddenly and I took over the lease. Later some of his friends, who I'd never met before came over to pick up some things that they owned and I learned then that I was his first female-girlfriend. That was really shocking to me because we had such a great relationship in all aspects. I never heard from him after he left...not even a phone call! About that same time, I started experiencing a lot of strange things and I renewed my interest in the occult. Up to that time I had always kept my involvement in the occult a secret. However, one day our singer, Dave Reese (who later replaced Udo in Accept), came over and spotted The Book of Toth laying on the sofa where I had been sitting and reading. He never said anything about it until later that night when he'd had a girl over for a date and wanted her to go home. He started telling her that I was a witch and showed her the book. About that time I came down the stairs in all-black like always and she freaked out. It kind of surprised me because I thought I had been being very discreet with this stuff. However, it was fun to see people be so frightened about it! From that point onwards I never denied my occult activites! (Interview with Tony Dimartino)
