Lieutenant Tasha Yar Tactical/Security Chief, USS Enterprise A human born on a colony of violence and chaos, Tasha Yar had fierce determination and strong will as a security officer aboard the Enterprise-D. She established a strong friendship with Worf and many of the other crewmembers; she even shared a sexual experience with Data while the crew was under the influence of a foreign compound. Tasha met her demise less than a year after starting on the Enterprise; she was killed by an exotic alien while trying to rescue Deanna Troi from her downed shuttle. However, due a temporal distortion which sent the Enterprise-C into the future and altered history, Tasha was alive and well aboard an alternate Enterprise-D. When Guinan told Tasha that she was supposed to have died, Tasha volunteered to return into the past with the Enterprise-C. As a result of this temporal shift, Tasha Yar and a romulan military officer became involved and had a daughter, Sela, who grew up to become a romulan Sub-Commander. images:
