Major JAGsite News:...After doing a lot of thinking for the past few weeks, I've decided to leave my post as JAGsite webmaster. I simply don't have the time anymore to make the JAGsite a quality website and I don't want to put a halfhearted effort into it. All of you visitors deserve better than that. Does this mean that there will be no more JAGsite? That really depends on you. I am willing to turn over the JAGsite to a new webmaster (or group of webmasters). If you are interested in taking over the JAGsite, please e-mail me by Friday, November 9. I have a few questions for any potential webmasters.
I would like to keep the site together, but if no one wants that responsibility, I'm willing to give parts of the site to other JAG websites. If you're interested in a certain part of the JAGsite, please e-mail me by Friday, November 9 with the part you're interested in (e.g. "Fun Zone," "Character Bios," "Picture Gallery.")
If no one responds, I will leave the site up, but no longer update it.
Thank you to all of you for all of the support you have given me and the site over the past four years. I will post a message next week to let you all know what is going to happen with the site.
Thank you!
Jenny :)

JAG Renewed...
Via Yahoo!:
'JAG' Extends Tour of Duty at CBS
By Michael Schneider
HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - The military drama ``JAG,'' currently in its fifth season, has re-enlisted for two years at CBS.
Sources believe CBS will pay producer Paramount Network Television a per-episode fee in the high $1 million range for the drama. CBS previously shelled out $1.2 million-$1.3 million per episode for ``JAG.''
Although CBS and Paramount are both owned by Viacom Inc., the ''JAG'' renewal wasn't a slam dunk for either company. Paramount asked for a fee in the mid- to upper-$2 million range, while CBS offered about $1 million less than that.
With ``JAG'' pulling decent numbers on Tuesday night for the CBS, and lower-rated series such as ``Buffy the Vampire Slayer (news - Y! TV)'' fetching impressive renewal deals, Paramount was well aware that ''JAG's'' profit holders expected the studio to locate the best deal possible regardless of family ties.
CBS' exclusive negotiating period over ``JAG'' expired last week. Although tensions had escalated, the two sides kept talking, and Paramount didn't take bids on the show from rival networks. Season to date, ``JAG'' averages 13.1 million viewers.

Next Eps Spoilers...
From Chuck Carrington:
"Yes, I am in "Mutiny." It took FOREVER to film but
the production
value quality should be excellent. It's another
flashback ep. as you
probably know already. Again, we each play different
characters. The ship
scenes were filmed on the water in San Pedro. I have
scenes (as "Purser's
Steward Wales) on the ship and as a testifier in
court. Wait til you see the
costumes and wigs. We all have period hair and
sideburns. No one looks or
acts like themselves. As for my character, there is
no trace of "Tiner",
which was a nice respite for me.
Up next, however, is
"Lifeline", directed
by David Elliot. "Tiner" finally gets a chance to hit
on a pretty girl... or
two.
We are filming the next to last ep. now, the
first of a two-parter
called "Adrift."
These episodes should resolve a lot
of things for the main
characters and, hopefully, for the audience as well.
Things will be left
wide open for a new slate of shows next season."

JAG Renewal Update...
CBS will announce its fall schedule on May 16, but there are rumblings about JAG's renewal. From Yahoo:
''JAG, ``Dharma'' face renewal hurdles
By Michael Schneider
HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - With just two weeks left before the TV business breaks camp and heads to New York for the fall presentations to advertisers, the fates of ``Dharma & Greg'' and ''JAG'' are still far from resolved.
And in a year when ``Buffy the Vampire Slayer (news - Y! TV)'' jumped networks over economic issues, there's a possibility that both hit series may pack their bags as well.
Although it's more than likely that CBS will come to a deal with Viacom sibling Paramount Network TV, which produces the show, the two sides are still far apart over the show's price tag, and tensions had escalated by the end of last week. CBS' exclusive negotiating window for the military drama expires Monday.
CBS currently pays between $1.2 million and $1.3 million per episode for ``JAG,'' now in its fifth season. Paramount is believed to be asking for a fee in the mid- to upper-$2 million range, while CBS is said to be offering about $1 million less than that.
Meanwhile, ABC and producer 20th Century Fox TV have been locked in a ``Dharma'' tug-of-war for some time now; the studio has now solicited offers from two other major networks, although it's unclear whether those are competitive bids. Both sides remain far apart over the show's license fee, which currently hovers just north of $900,000 per episode.
The studio believes the show is worth much more, while ABC notes that the comedy has taken a beating in the ratings this season.
