It's a sci-fi show about a man that was kidnapped as a child by a questionable corporation that exploits his genius.
 

He is a "pretender", a person with the ability to learn the necessary skills to become anyone he wants to.
 

For years, Jarod was used by the Centre, a mysterious think tank in Blue Cove, Delaware.  A few years ago, Jarod broke out.
 

Ever since, he has been looking for his real family, from whom he was separated as a child.  Along the way, he has performed good deeds to those in need, attempting to make the world a better place.
 

However, Jarod's former "employers" don't want to let their most precious commodity escape.  Thus, the Centre has assigned a team to capture him, alive preferably.
 

The team is comprised of Jarod's former trainer and mentor, Sydney, Jarod's former friend, Miss Parker, and a technology expert, Broots.  Yet, the Centre doubts the trio's loyalty given their relationship to Jarod.  So, they have brought in Mr. Lyle, a sinister man who is Miss Parker's twin.
